ANWAR'S LAST SAY IN COURT AND THE WALKOUT OF THE COURT BY THE SITTING JUDGES

In court, a person who had just been sentenced by the judge, is allowed to have his say in court before he is led off the court. The LEAST the sitting judge should do is to remain seated to let the person have his last say in court.

These were the words spoken by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in court after he was sentenced, during which CJ Arifin Zakaria and four of his panel judges walked out of the court whilst Anwar was still speaking.

The question people are asking is: Why did the judges controversially walk out while a convicted person is having his say in court? Is it they were too embarrassed ? Or they themselves felt guilty what they will be hearing from Anwar and therefore they chickened out of the courtroom ?

Truth hurts and judges also need to hear the truths in court, especially in court.

THE OFFICE ITSELF DOES NOT NECESSARILY CONFER RESPECT IF THE HOLDER OF THAT OFFICE DOESN'T ACT RESPONSIBLY AND DO JUSTICE TO THE MANDATE OF THE OFFICE THAT WILL COMMAND RESPECT.
