POST-Permatang Pauh By-Election: The State of Play in Malaysian Politics

Irrespective of the outcome (of the Permatang Pauh by-election), these will stand TRUE:

1. For UMNO there is nothing that goes beneath them. They will go to whatever the extent that is needed to cling on to power.
   
   
2. UMNO does not have the political will to change. Its inability to respond to the thumping at the GE and its continued reliance on its old ways attest to this. Its same old, same old.
   
   
3. UMNO has a serious leadership crisis. When the Deputy Prime Minister has to seek legitimacy by swearing just shows that his own faith in the judicial system is flawed. Is such a man fit to lead the country?
   
   
4. Pak Lah has contradicted himself so many times that he is making George Bush look good!

If we think that the PKR-PAS-DAP (BR) coalition is fragile, I think Permatang Pauh has demonstrated that the UMNO-MCA-MIC++ (BN) coalition is even more fragile.

PKR-PAS-DAP may not agree on some very fundamental issues like the form of government that it should take but they have all come down in force to ensure full support to Anwar Ibrahim. This is in stark contrast to BN where only the bit players have been coming out.

A win for Anwar - even if it is by 1 vote is a win. While the media is trying to hype up the size of Anwars majority as a proxy for his support this is flawed thinking. Anwar has won the most important battle, that is the battle of perceptions.

Anwar now has a number of options on his hands. Believe it or not - both UMNO and PKR will be more than happy to have Anwar lead. BN and PR are aligned and motivated on different things.

• BN is aligned around business deals and crony politics and to maintain this they need to be in power even if it means Anwar Ibrahim as their leader.
  
  
• PR on the other hand has evolved through alignment on social justice, equity and representation (not to say that they will not have an interest in crony politics too at some point in time).

Anwar is now thinking of configuration - which coalition of partners will give him the highest level of stability to institute the reforms he wants to push through.

To do that he will have to assess each component party:

1. UMNO
   
   UMNO will always remain UMNO - the swashbuckling kris waving fighter for MALAY rights. UMNO’s survival is hinged on amplifying the MALAY agenda to bring back the mainstream Malays into its cause.
   
   UMNO will take on a much more racially driven slant to stay relevant.
   
   
2. MCA and GERAKAN
   
   MCA and Gerakan are clearly hedging their bets already. The choice for them is reform or become irrelevant. They will support whomever is in power.
   
   Unlike the Malays, the Chinese have a range of choices for political representation and will go to the one that they believe can help them achieve better integration and access.
   
   
3. DAP
   
   DAP has made the bold move forward to shed its CHINESE image and reposition itself as the voice of democracy. DAP will grow from strength to strength but it must first grow the number of Malays in its ranks. Appointment of Tunku Aziz is a huge step forward.
   
   
4. PAS
   
   PAS will continue as an Islamist party but instead of a party of ULAMA’s they are seeing a huge influx of Professional Muslims, who I describe as the thinking MALAY’s.
   
   The combination of being stuck in the middle class, aging in to the 40’s and early 50’s, the thinking Malays are all reassessing their beliefs, and lo and behold, they are discovering that MALAY and MUSLIM are not the same.
   
   The path to salvation is through being a MUSLIM and not being a MALAY and hence politically PAS will make more sense than UMNO.
   
   
5. MIC
   
   MIC is a good as history.
   
   The INDIAN community has been take for granted for too long and they will need to re-strategize their fit and positioning. It is a reality of what happens when you have no economic nor political clout.
   
   
6. SABAH and SARAWAK POLITICAL PARTIES
   
   Then there are the Sabah and Sarawak based parties that actually underpin BN’s survival. Unfortunately I am too disconnected from Sabah and Sarawak to make any judgements.
   

THE MALAY VOTERS

Before my next point, let me state a fundamental assumption I have… the country is ready for change, but the MALAY’s no matter how it is done, will not agree to be led by a non Malay or the Muslims to be led by a non Muslim.

Likewise I assume that a portion of Malays and a whole lot of non malays are not ready to be led by PAS or a leader from PAS. (the reason is not important, it is just how it is).


The PAKATAN RAKYAT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

So, Anwar’s big hurdle to the PM’s job is that the PKR-PAS-DAP coalition do not yet have a mechanism to elect a leader other then everyone agreeing that is should be Anwar.

But imagine for a second that on day 1 as PM, God forbid, Anwar dies of a heart attack, who would succeed him?

Of course the DPM. But will the DPM be from PAS or DAP? So while it its easy for the BR team to agree that Anwar is the leader, who will be his deputy?

The structure of the coalition is that all three members will have to be represented at the top (maybe thats a good reason for Tunku Aziz to be in DAP).


REALITY CHECK for Anwar Ibrahim

For practical reality:

1. PAS is not in a position to be accepted a “ruling” party. And therefore Anwar is better off with PAS exactly where it is but he will make a sweetheart deal with PAS to ensure that they get all the privileges as if they were in the ruling coalition.
   
   By the way, if PAS is in the “ruling party” and is not able to propagate its islamic agenda, its own members will go after its Leadership and that is the last thing the PAS Leadership needs.
   
   
2. DAP - any attempts for DAP (at this moment) to be seen as “ruling” will send all of the MALAYS running straight back into UMNO. This will absolutely destabilize the equation.
   
   The last thing Anwar wants is UMNO regaining strong grass roots malay support especially from urban Malays. Like with PAS, Anwar will have to do a sweetheart deal with DAP.
   
   
3. PKR is fairly neutral but doesn’t not have enough seats on its own to be stable in parliament.

So here is the reality… for Anwar to do what he plans to do, he will have to do it via BN.

He will bring PKR into the center as an olive branch to MCA and MIC members. This in essence will checkmate UMNO and will force UMNO to purge itself of the rot if it wants to remain in the coalition.

The alternative for UMNO is to leave BN and in doing so it will becomes the new opposition….. if UMNO chooses to leave, the choice for all the other parties will now be loyalty to BN or loyalty to UMNO.

I suspect they will stay in BN as UMNO on its own will no more be relevant. PAS and DAP will be given time and space to be an “effective opposition” in Parliament…

These are my thought and I think this will give ANWAR the greatest configuration for a stable government.

Assalamu’alaikum wm.wrt,

Saudara-saudara ku sekalian,

Sebagaimana yang saudara-saudara semua ketahui, saudara-saudara di Kawasan Parlimen Permatang Pauh akan turun membuat pemilihan wakil rakyat baru pada hari Selasa, 26 Ogos 2008, iaitu esuk hari.

Tidak sampai 24 jam lagi, di tangan saudara-saudaralah terletaknya hidup-mati rakyat dan negara ini untuk masa depan yang lebih cemerlang.

Saudara-saudara perlu membuat perubahan, menukar gaya politik lapok yang diamalkan oleh UMNO sudah memerintah lebih 51 tahun kepada curak dan gaya politik baru yang berorientasikan kebajikan rakyat tanpa mengira kaum dan agama.

Saudara-saudara dipertanggungjawabkan untuk membuat perubahan ini mewakili kami yang berada DI SELURUH NEGARA.

Tanggungjawab saudara-saudara semuanya adalah amat berat, tetapi saudara-saudara masih ada waktu untuk memikirkan baik-buruk dalam membuat pemilihan wakil saudara-saudara ke Parlimen bagi memperjuangkan nasib saudara-sauadara dan nasib seluruh rakyat di negara ini.

Kami harap, saudara-saudara jangan menghampakan harapan kami yang ingin melihat fajar baru yang akan muncul nanti.

Kami hanya mampu berdoa semoga dengan pertolongan daripada Allah s.w.t jua fajar baru itu akan menyingseng memancarkan sinarnya.

Sama ada saudara-saudara hendak memilih Arif Shah Omar Shah atau saudara-saudara hendak membuat kejutan dengan memilih saudara Anwar Ibrahim dengan majoriti tertinggi terpulanglah kepada saudara-saudara sendiri untuk membuat keputusannya.

Pisau ditangan saudara-saudara dan mentimun juga ditangan saudara-saudara.

Kami sedar saudara-saudara semuanya adalah manusia yang cerdik-cerdik belaka. Umpan dimakan, tetapi tidak terlekat pada mata kail. Pandai menilai yang mana intan dan yang mana kaca.

Tentulah saudara-saudara akan memilih saudara Anwar Ibrahim sebagai wakil-wakil saudara-saudara dan juga wakil kami juga. Jangan mensia-siakan peluang keemasan ini.

Gunakan kuasa yang ada pada tangan saudara-saudara untuk menghumban UMNO ke laut Cina Selatan.

Saudara-saudara yang dihormati,

Sejarah telah merakamkan bahawa sebahagian besar para pemimpin UMNO berdiri di atas tiket pemimpin untuk merebut kuasa, kedudukan dan kekayaan bagi kepentingan peribadi bukan untuk kepentingan rakyat jelata. Hakikat ini tidak boleh dinafikan oleh sesiapa pun termasuk saudara-saudara yang tinggal di kawasan Parlimen ini.

Saudara-saudara pasti mendengar, membaca dan menonton wajah-wajah para pemimpin UMNO dan BN yang didakwa terlibat dengan berbagai salahguna kuasa, menggunakan kedudukan untuk mencari faedah peribadi dan keadaan rasuah di Negara kita sekarang ini semakin menjadi-jadi.

Yang ditangkap ialah ikan-ikan bilis, ikan jerung terlepas kerana pukat yang digunakan mudah carik dan koyak. BPR menjadi boneka kepada UMNO. BPR adalah sebahagian daripada organisasi UMNO yang mempertahankan kepimpinan UMNO yang kurop. Banyak pemimpin UMNO yang terlepas.

Laporan demi laporan dibuat mengenai menyalahgunaan kuasa ini, namun agensi-agensi yang terlibat seperti pasukan polis, BPR, SPR dan lain-lainnya tidak mengambil sebarang tindakan.

Pilihanraya kita saudara-saudara bergelomang dengan dosa dan noda. Oleh sebab itu mereka menolak politik Islam kerana kejahatan, ketidakadilan dan kezaliman mereka tidak dapat diteruskan ke atas pihak yang lemah yang mereka sendiri lakukan dengan bantuan dan kerjasama agensi-agensi yang disebutkan tadi.

Gaya hidup mewah yang melampau yang ditunjukkan oleh para pemimpin UMNO adalah lambang kerakusan kuasa, mereka merompak, mencuri dan membahagi-bahagikan [memfaraidkan] khazanah Negara sesama mereka dan meninggalkan rakyat dengan pelbagai masalah yang menghimpit kehidupan rakyat.

Kemiskinan masih tinggi di seluruh Negara, termasuk di Machap ini. Kemiskinan tidak mengenal kaum dan bangsa ataupun agama.

Saudara-saudara ku sekalian,

Saudara-saudara ku, tidak kira sama ada saudara-saudara muslim atau non muslim, semua kita berada dalam kemiskinan yang amat sangat. Kenaikan harga petrol yang melampau pada 4 Jun lalu melonjakkan kadar inflasi kepada 7.7 peratus sangat membebankan kehidupan seluruh rakyat dengan kenaikan harga barangan dan perkhidmatan secara mendadak.

Kehidupan rakyat bertambah sempit dan menderita. Penurunan harga petrol seperti yang diumumkan pada 23 Ogos lalu sebanyak RM0.15 seliter tidak memberi sebarang makna kerana kenaikannya dulu amat tinggi dalam sejarah sebanyak RM0.78.

Penurunan RM0.15 sen tidak memabawa apa-apa kesan kerana harga barangan dan perkhidmatan tidak akan turun, kecuali penurunan harga minyak melepasi RM0.30 seliter. Hal ini boleh dilakukan kalau sekiranya kerajaan tidak memberi rebet sebanyak RM625.00 mengikut setiap liter minyak, ia lebih kurang RM0.40 nilainya setiap liter.

Ini menunjukkan satu kebodohan kerajaan sepertimana bodohnya kerajaan mencadangkan pembayaran gaji kakitangan awam dua kali sebulan yang akhirnya terpaksa dibatalkan kerana mendapat bantahan daripada CUEPAC.

Kerajaan sendiri mengalakkan kenaikan kos belanja ini dengan menaikkan harga minyak, tol, tariff air dan elektrik. Kenaikan-kenaikan ini menjadikan kos harga barangan dan perkhidmatan meningkat menjadi bertambah mahal di pasaran, manakala pendapatan rakyat tidak banyak berubah.

Saudara-saudara sekalian,

Gunakanlah kesempatan yang ada ini untuk memberi laluan kepada saudara Anwar Ibrahim menjejak kaki semula ke Parlimen. Di Parlimen nanti saudara Anwar akan dilantik sebagai Ketua Pembangkang Parlimen Malaysia. Kedudukan ini maha penting bagi kita semua kerana beliau akan merintis jalan ke Putra Jaya sebagai PM ke-6.

Keselamatan agama, bangsa dan negara serta keadilan untuk semua kaum akan lebih terbela sekiranya saudara Anwar ditakdirkan oleh Allah s.w.t menjadi PM mengambilalih kuasa daripada Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Jangan sekali-kali biarkan Najib Tun Razak merasai kerusi PM. Agama, bangsa dan Negara akan hancur lebur di bawah kekuasaan Najib. Semua rakyat tahu latarbelakang Najib, ketua konspirator. Isterinya, Rosmah Mansor lebih teruk lagi jika dibanding dengan Imelda Marcos.

Saudara-saudara perlu ingat, kemenangan saudara Anwar akan meranapkan impian para konspirator yang mahu bertindak membunuh kerjaya politiknya di negara ini. Dalam masa yang sama kita dapat membantu saudara Anwar untuk memulihkan kembali imej dan maruahnya di kalangan rakyat di dalam negara ini serta di peringkat antarabangsa. Imejnya pada masa kini amat tercalar, luka parah di sana sini.

Saudara Anwar seorang yang paling hebat di abad ini khususnya di negara kita. Beliau seorang yang teguh pendirian dan sangat konsisten dalam perjuangan membela nasib rakyat tanpa mengira kaum. Oleh kerana beliau seorang, seluruh jentera-jentera kerajaan [jabatan/agensi] kucar-kacir terkeluar daripada landasannya yang sebenar.

Saudara-saudara,

Sang pengusaha dan para juak-juaknya sangat takut kehilangan kuasa kerana apabila saudara Anwar ditakdirkan menjadi PM dan memiliki kuasa sepertimana yang mereka miliki sekarang, maka segala kejahatan, kezaliman, penindasan, menyalahgunaan kuasa, rasuah, membaham dan merompak harta rakyat yang mereka lakukan selama ini akan terbongkar menjadikan mereka tidak lena tidur.

Pada ketika itu, rakyat semua akan tahu siapakah sebenarnya hantu jembalang yang merasuk rakyat setiap masa.

Tali barut UMNO yang digunakan oleh UMNO untuk memusnahkan saudara Anwar seperti pasukan daripada Jabatan Peguam Negara yang dikepalai oleh Abdul Ghani 4tahil, PDRM yang diketuai oleh Musa Hassan, media, SPR dan BPR memudahkan kita memusnahkan mereka tanpa ada sekatan dan halangan.

Mengembalikan ke fungsi asal organisasi-organisasi terbabit demi menegakkan keadilan, kebenaran dan menjaga keselamatan rakyat, bukan lagi menjaga keselamatan UMNO dan para pemimpinnya.

Disamping itu, kemenangan ini juga boleh menutup mulut yang celupar daripada dulu kawan kini musuh seperti Ezam Mohd Noor, Nallakurapan, Saidatul Badru Said Keruak dan lain-lainnya. Mereka ini sepatutnya ditembak dan mayatnya mereka dicampak untuk dijadikan sajian harimau sarkas. Mereka ini sebenarnya melihat dunia ini hanyalah untuk lakonan mencari kekayaan peribadi.

Moral mereka sangat rendah, setaraf babi di hutan. Yang lebih penting disini ialah kejayaan kita membunuh kerjaya politik masa depan anak Jamaludin yang menjadi menantu Abdullah yang sombong, angkoh, berlagak samseng, bermulut celupar dan yang mengawal urusan negara di tingkat 4 di Putra Jaya.

Pastinya kita tidak akan berpuas hati sekiranya budak higusan ini masih lagi boleh bertempik ke sana ke mari ikut suka hati dia sahaja, tanpa mempertimbangkan perasaan orang lain.

Saudara-saudara ku,

Kita perlu sedar bahawa tidak ada maknanya kita keluar beramai-ramai memberi undi kepada UMNO. UMNO sekarang berada dalam keadaan amat nazak menanti kedatangan malaikatul maut untuk merembat nyawanya keluar daripada jasad. Politik dan dasar pembangunan negara tidak ketahuan hala.

Bohong sana, bohong sini untuk tipu rakyat, tetapi dalam masa yang sama mereka memperkuatkan kedudukan untuk merebut daki dunia. Malaikatul maut itu ialah kita sebagai organisasi Pakatan Rakyat yang bergerak dalam satu matlamat untuk mereformasikan atau mengislahkan balik sistem pentadbiran negara yang rosak teruk di bawah pemerintahan UMNO selama 51 tahun.

Analoginya amat mudah. UMNO sudah lama bermain bola di padang yang sama. UMNO mulai letih, tidak bermaya dan telah banyak kehilangan tenaga. Jadi, sepakannya sudah menjadi tidak menentu.

Sebab keletihan itulah membuatkan UMNO membuat kesilapan demi kesilapan dalam mengurus tadbir negara ini.

Oleh itu, saya sekali lagi merayu saudara-saudara di Permatang Pauh :

Undilah Anwar Ibrahim!

1. Calon BN/Umno Arif Shah Omar Shah berkata beliau telah berhenti mengikuti pengajian Phd. Di Edision University of Technology.
   
   Soalannya, bagaimanakah seorang yang hanya mempunyai kelulusan Diploma sahaja seperti Arif ini,boleh terus melangkah sampai keperingkat Phd. pula? Pelik tapi benar!
   
   Takkan Si Arif ini tak tahu bahawa sesiapapun boleh membeli Phd dari universiti ini? Samada Si Arif ini bodoh sial ataupun cuba menipu Rakyat dengan Phdnya.
   
   
2. Sogok RM500 kepada penduduk Permatang Pauh upah sebagai perisik.
   
   
3. Tidak membayar wang caruman KWSP.
   
   
4. Menyertai perarakan haram Umno di Komtar apabila Pakatan Rakyat mengambil-alih Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang. Perarakan haram ini disertai Arif kerana kononnya kedudukan kaum Melayu di Pulau Pinang diancam oleh kerajaan PR.
   
   
5. Ariff Shah adalah adik kepada Tan Sri Amin Shah Omar Shah yang kini tinggal di UK kerana terlibat dalam skandal .
   
   Skandal ini melibatkan kes penipuan PSC Industries Berhad, dimana Amin Shah telah diberi kontrak bernilai lebih daripada RM24 billion dalam bentuk kontak TLDM sekitar tahun 1998 pada ketika Timbalan Perdana Menteri Najib Tun Razak memegang jawatan Menteri Pertahanan. Kerajaan Malaysia telah membayar Amin Shah berbillion Ringgit sebagai ‘duit hangus’ tetapi malangnya Amin Shah tidak menunaikan bahagiannya.
   
   Berbillion Ringgit wang Rakyat Malaysian telah lenyap begitu sahaja.
   
   Ini merupakan skandal kewangan terbesar dalam sejarah Negara! Mustahil jika Arif Shah mengatakan bahawa beliau tidak terlibat dalam perkara ini.
   
   
6. Demi mempopularkan dirinya dikalangan orang Melayu yang menyoal laterbelangnya sebagai seorang India Muslim ("MAMAK"), Arif Shah telahcuba munukarkan nama George Town kepada “Bandar Datuk Abdullah Fahim”.
   
7. Arif Shah inilah yang telah mendesak Pak Lah bersama pemimpin Unmo Pulau Pinang lain untuk membatalkan semua Projek Mega di Pulau Pinang sebagai hukuman kepada Rakyat Pulau Pinang kerana mengundi Pakatan Rakyat.

Pada pendapat saya, jika seseorang itu boleh bercakap bohong tentang kelulusan akademiknya, beliau juga boleh berbohong tentang pembabitannya dalam perniagaan abangnya, Amin Shah.

Di Negara demokrasi lain, seorang individu seperti Arif Shah tidak akan diletakkan bertanding segai seorang calon sama sekali.

It was reported in Malaysiakini PERMATANG PAUH by election candidate from BN, Arif Shah Omar Shah, has stopped pursuing his PhD degree after questions were raised over his academic credentials.

The big question here is:

IF Arif still continued to pursue this bogus Phd. up till April 21, WHEN did he stop then?

Did he decide to stop because of the heat coming from Bloggers?

• First and foremost, how can someone with just a Diploma go on and pursue a Phd. The so-called International Distance Learning Centre of Edision University of Technology is a mailbox office:

  If you do a google search on the above address, you will find hundreds of company using the similar mailbox address.

• Edision University of Technology is accredited by WORLD ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES (WAUC).
  
  The WAUC is global accreditation association founded to establish and promote global standards in higher education among colleges and universities worldwide."
  
  The "accreditor," WAUC is owned by Dr. Maxine Klein Asher. (Her own degrees are real.)

Two things bother me about this guy Arif Shah here, one, if he knew the Phd. from Edision was bogus but yet continued to pursue it, he must be a person of the lowest level of integrity who would be willing to deceive the Rakyat (People) with his phony Phd..

If Arif Shah got into the Phd. program without checking the University's background (Remember, you have to pay a lot of money to get a Phd.), then, he must be the biggest oxymoron around.

In other words, he is NOT fit for public office i.e. State Assemblyman or Member of Parliament.

Other reasons why Arif Shah should never be voted in as Permatang Pauh MP let alone be the Seberang Jaya Assemblyman for the following reasons:

1. He was the most notable Indian Muslim ("MAMAK") who claimed himself Malay and participated in the illegal protest at Komtar against YAB Lim Guan Eng and the newly installed Pakatan Rakyat State Government in support of Ketuanan Melayu (Malay Supremacy).
   
   A man who forgets his origin just because of his religion, calling himself another can never impress me and any right minded person. The Permatang Pauh Indians need to take note of this.
   
   
2. The BN had to scrape the bottom of the barrel to put up Arif Shah as the BN candidate because Ariff Shah is the ‘least-hated’ of the five warlords of Umno Permatang Pauh so they hope that with him as the candidate this would reduce the possibility of internal sabotage. Never before had Umno needed to have an Assemblyman to stand for elections as an MP as well.
   
   
   
3. Ariff Shah is the brother of Tan Sri Amin Shah Omar Shah who is in now in self-imposed exile in the UK. He shuttles between London and Dubai but would never dare come close to Malaysia because there are criminal breaches of trust (CBT) allegations he may have to answer to.
   
   Amin Shah’s company, PSC Industries Berhad, was awarded more than RM24 billion in naval contracts around 1998 at the time Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak was already the Defence Minister. The government paid him billions in upfront money but Amin Shah’s company never fulfilled its side of the bargain. Imam Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan, Ramlang Porigi memohon maaf kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia kerana kehadirannya secara tidak sengaja dalam majlis sumpah Saiful Bukhari Azlan 15 Ogos lepas menimbulkan banyak fitnah.

Katanya, beliau langsung TIDAK terbabit dengan pengaturan sumpah tersebut, sebaliknya DIAJAK menghadiri suatu majlis yang telah diaturkan pihak tertentu secara tidak dirancang.

Beliau yang dijemput memberikan penerangan sempena Solat Hajat Perdana bersama Menteri Besar Kelantan, Dato' Nik Aziz Nik Mat di Masjid Bandar Perda malam tadi mendedahkan, kehadiran beliau di situ secara kebetulan menikahkan orang bukanya mengatur program jahat tersebut.

Uztaz Ramlang berkata di hadapan ribuan jemaah:

"Saya bukan Imam besar di situ saya cuma imam biasa sahaja. Imam besarnya ialah Haji Abdul Malek Saleh.

Di televisyen mengatakan saya Iman Besar di situ salah sama sekali kerana kehadiran saya di situ untuk menikahkan pasangan pengantin.

Bila sudah upacara angat nikah, tiba-tiba saya diajak ke program sumpah Saiful untuk menjadi saksi mendengar jika sekiranya tersilap perkataan terutamanya kalimah bahasa Arab.

Sepatutnya sebarang program yang bakal di adakan di masjid ini mesti mendapat kebenaran dulu daripada saya atau pegawai masjid yang lain.

Bukan boleh buat program sewenang-wenangnya."

Menurutnya, pada pukul 6.05 petang semasa menunggu tiba-tiba Saiful datang dengan beberapa orang dan terus membaca sumpah laknatnya.

Semasa membaca lafaz sumpah itu beliau beberapa kali TERSALAH lafazkanya termasuk tarikh kejadian.

Beliau juga hairan kenapa tiba-tiba sahaja Saiful bersumpah sedangkan lafaz sumpah sepatutnya diadakah oleh kedua-dua pihak terutamanya orang yang kena tuduh bukan yang menuduh.

Jelas beliau lagi, jika difikirkan dengan keadaan umur dan fizikal Anwar, mustahil beliau boleh lakukan perbuatan terkutuk itu kerana ia memerlukan kekuatan tambahan kejadian itu berlaku bukan suka sama suka.

Beliau juga memohon maaf kepada semua rakyat Malaysia kerana hadir dalam program berkenaan dan berharap pengakuannya malam ini mengakhiri tangapan buruk terhadapnya sepertimana yang tersiar dalam media dan internet.

Beliau juga berpendapat bahawa sumpah laknat yang dilafazkan oleh Saiful Bukhari Azlan merupakan sumpah laknat untuk dirinya sendiri, bukan untuk Anwar Ibrahim.

Solat hajat perdana itu diimamkan oleh Tuan Guru Haji Saleh dari Sik, Kedah manakala hadir memberikan ucapan ringkas ialah bekas Mufti Wilayah Persekutuan, Dato Mohd HashimYahya, Ketua Dewan Ulama PAS Pusat, Ustaz Mohd Daud Iraqi, Timbalan Ketua MenteriPulau Pinang, Mohamad Fairus Khairudin dan Menteri Besar Kelantan, Tuan Guru Dato' Nik Aziz Nik Mat.

Imam Ramlang Porigi stunned everyone when he revealed that he "had been instructed" to witness Saiful's swearing show.

On whether the timing of the swearing was a political conspiracy, imam Ramlang said:

"For me IT IS, as it was done on the eve of nomination day."

The 29 year old Sabah-born imam from the FT Mosque faced the media for the first time after Saiful's swearing at the Federal Territory Mosque. He also revealed that he is an Umno member, registered in Permatang Pauh in 2003.

He said he was not paid any money nor benefit from coming out now. On what encouraged him to come forward now, imam Ramlang said that the criticism and pressure he has faced after the event was overwhelming.

He said that he also wanted to clear the air on his position in the FT Mosque.

Also present at the press conference was PKR vice presidents Azmin Ali and R Sivarasa as well as a host of other local leaders. PKR information chief Tian Chua was also present.

Imam Ramlang told the media:

"My task was only to hear the oath and I had no part in the drafting of the oath which Saiful made. It is also unimportant for me to specify who.

I also wish to deny that I received any money to witness the swearing. I was only acting on instructions.

During the swearing, Saiful mis-pronounced one of the Islamic words because he had it written down in Malay instead of Arabic.

Saiful also made a mistake on when Anwar Ibrahim had allegedly inserted his penis into his rectum. Instead of June 26, Saiful said he was sodomised on Aug 26 before correcting himself.

I only joined Umno because of a friend. And since I don't hold any positions in the party, I've nothing to be afraid of. I'm not active even and I can be said to be a fake member.

Many people would call or even text me on SMS (short messaging system) to scold me and accuse me of not being a legitimate imam. Although, I'm not the Imam Besar, I'm a real imam.

I also want to make known that I am not an ulama nor the Imam Besar as what some reports have said.

I only want to clear my name and conscience. When the attacks began, no-one defended me.

But I'm thankful that PKR has invited me to state my case."

Journalists were unable to grill Ramlang for more answers as PKR wrapped up the press conference after just 15 minutes, stating that the imam was tired and needed to rest.

On why he chose to use the PKR platform to clear the air, he said that the party was the only one which offered to back him.

On whether he feared for his and his family's safety, Ramlang said that as long as it was the truth, he did not fear anything.

He also said that he remained an imam at the KL Mosque as of now, adding that he was however not sure if he would be sacked after making his stand today.

He also said that he was not representing any political party by making his revelations.

Ramlang started appearing in PKR ceramahs today, revealing his role and his view on Saiful's swearing.

He was under heavy protection due to obvious fears over his safety now.

PKR leaders said that they first came into contact with Ramlang only yesterday and were doing everything possible to protect the ustaz.

Immediately after the press conference, which last for about 15 minutes, Ramlang was whisked away by PKR leaders to an unknown location.

When voters in Kulim-Bandar Baru, especially the NON-Malays/Non-Muslims, voted for you on March 8, 2008, they voted you to be a Member of Parliament FIRST, and to represent ALL Malaysians, and NOT for you to be in Parliament as a MUSLIM FIRST.

When you displayed your abusive and irresponsible behaviour at the Bar Council forum protest, YOU disgraced the people who voted for you.

Your Islamic credential is not a passport for you to be up in arms with those racist-UMNO protesters at the Bar Council forum protest.

You are, in our view, a disgraceful Member of Parliament, coming especially from the Pakatan Rakyat.

Your defence of your action and your disappearance after the Bar Council forum protest, is so unconvincing.

We voted you into Parliament, NOT because you are a lawyer or you were formerly a lawyer for Anwar Ibrahim.

Least of all, NOT because you are Muslim.

You were given the nod by the voters at the last General Election because YOU stood under the banner of PKR and voters were led to believe that YOU will be a Member of Parliament FIRST, and that YOU will uphold the aspirations in the PKR manifesto.

Instead, you cheated those voters who voted for you by your recent behaviour and your comments. You are NOT exactly the role model for the youths of this country.

We say to you, if you WANT to be a Muslim FIRST, YOU SHOULD RESIGN from the parliament seat NOW, so that voters can elect someone else who will be a Member of Parliament FIRST.

Given your current bad attitude and poor behaviour, we will initiate and support any call, and spare no effort, to campaign for voters in Kulim-Bandar Baru to vote for ANY OTHER candidate, be it from UMNO, PAS or PKR, as long as it is NOT YOU, should you ever decide to stand for re-election again.

And that, Yang Berhormat Zulkifli Noordin, you can be sure, is a PROMISE.

These are rights enshrined in the universal human rights.

Zulkifli must retract his accusation immediately or he should withdraw from the Bar Council, which he claimed is 'anti-Islam'...."

Dear Zuklifli Nordin,

Thank you for finally coming out of hiding and delivering a much needed press conference. During the press conference you made the claim that one can "talk about Islam but you can't talk for Islam".

In a similar vein I would like to make it clear that you and Pembela can talk about Muslims but you can't talk for Muslims.

You certainly don't speak for THIS Muslim and I daresay there are many other Malaysian Muslims that you do NOTspeak for.

YOU and the other leaders of that demonstration have only brought shame upon Muslims and moreover brought Islam into disrepute because by your actions and words on the morning of 9th August 2008 you lend credence to the notion that Muslims are irrational liars who are prone to threats of violence and that our faith is too weak to be discussed in the open.

In a moment reminiscent of pots and kettles you chided the Bar Council for not having "learnt to respect the law, the constitution and also the views of other parties".

Just what laws or aspects of the constitution did the Bar Council contravene? You claim that the Bar Council are anti-Islam when in truth, the Bar Council had arranged for a diverse range of speakers including a syariah lawyer as well as representatives from IKIM and JAIS.

The Bar Council had also invited those leading the protest to take part in the forum. Were you merely ignorant of all this or was there instead a wilful attempt to deceive on the part or you and the other protest organisers?

Ironically, it is YOU who should learn to respect the constitution and the views of other parties.

You state that it was the police and not the protest that stopped the forum. That is mere semantics as you are quoted as saying "I have negotiated with the Dang Wangi police to stop the forum at 9.30am or else we will act."

Now you expect us to believe that the police would have stopped the forum if your protest had not taken place?

Do you think we were born yesterday? Stop twisting the truth. You have already threatened to "do it again" if the Bar Council attempted similar forums.

You claim that Malaysian Muslims have been tolerant living under laws that are not Islamic.

Would it surprise you if you were to find out that most Malaysian Muslims, like their fellow countrymen, are more concerned about the content and quality of the laws they live under rather than the labels of these laws?

It follows that Malaysians of all backgrounds object to the ISA simply because it is unjust on any view, not because it does not carry an Islamic label.

Do not be so presumptuous as to think YOU are capable of taking the lead to speak for all Muslims in this country.

You are keen to emphasise that to you, Islam comes before PKR.

However, the far more pertinent question for you to answer is whether Pembela or your collective constituents come first, and in my view by your actions you have placed Pembela above your constituents.

As an illustration, consider if you had another Shamala or Revathi as a constituent. Would you be sympathetic to the plight of such a person? Could such a person count on your support? Would such a person even be comfortable now to approach you?

Would you be willing to cross swords with JAIS or other Islamic authorities to seek justice for a non-Muslim? I am guessing the answer to all these questions is a resounding 'No'.

You maintain that you attended the demonstration as a member of Pembela and not as an MP.

Since you are still in a state of denial, I provided the above illustration to demonstrate how your actions as a member of Pembela have created a potentially calamitous conflict of interest with your responsibilities as an MP.

Who would now believe that you can impartially serve the interests of all your constituents?

The only honourable course of action for you is to RESIGN from your parliamentary post.

Make way for someone who will unite, not divide Malaysians and one who will make aALL the constituents their priority.

Dan memang ada kematian melibatkan penduduk akibat daripada makan ubi gadung. Ubi gadung ini sedap kalau pandai buat dan dimakan dengan pulut. Terliur pulak aku teringat ubi gadung tapi kalau tak pandai buat , kalau tak mati pun mau pening tiga hari. Kalahkan Samy Vellu minum todi.

Demo UiTM di Tuju Kepada Kaum Cina

Berbalik kepada demo yang RACIST ini.

Demo ini bersifat perkauman dan kaum yang dituju sangat ialah kaum Cina sudah tentunya. Ini kerana pelajar non bumi yang banyak masuk universiti ialah pelajar Cina dan keputusan mereka memang amat memberangsangkan.

Aku akui sendiri. Sewaktu aku belajar dulu, aku sentiasa bersaing dengan mereka, tetapi aku selalu kecundang. Mereka memang terkenal tekun dan berusaha bersungguh-sungguh. Nasib Grad UiTM Nanti ?

Baiklah, berbalik kepada nasib pelajar UITM yang grad nanti. Mereka akan menempuh alam pekerjaan yang tentunya BUKAN semua Melayu sahaja.

• Adakah dengan mereka bersifat racist mereka tak mau kerja dengan BUKAN bumi ?

Jadi eloklah berhati-hati dalam kes yang melibatkan sentimen bangsa.

Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan appeared in public to swear on the Quran and denied he had consented to the alleged anal intercourse with Anwar Ibrahim.

He has swore on the Quran at the Federal Territory Mosque in Jalan Duta here today that the sodomy had indeed taken place. He performed the swearing before an imam at 6.15pm. The swearing process ended about 15 minutes later.

He was accompanied by his father and police personnel. The swearing ceremony was witnessed by some 30 people, including representatives of the media and members of his family.Read here for more

Quibbling over whether a meeting on Islamic conversion should be private or public obscures the larger difference between the need for discussion and the mindless intolerance of banning all dialogue on it.

Enlightened Malaysians would talk through issues before they become volatile, while others prefer to bottle up problems until crisis proportions.

Are Malaysians mature enough to discuss urgent issues without threats and violence, indeed to understand the need to pre-empt such thuggery through discussion?

The Bar Council thinks an informed public is capable of rational discourse, but a minority of extremists pretends others share their crippling incapacity.

...The authorities must also realise that appeasing the unreasonable demands of degenerate troublemakers cannot be the answer, only a means to encourage their anti-social myopia.

Their primitive outlook also wants to ban the rock concert by Avril Lavigne for alleged indecency. Lavigne’s zestful performances may be a little boisterous but never beyond control or “indecent”, and slandering the young French-Canadian from a devout Baptist family is an insult.

To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, an artistic work is either good or bad, but never indecent. And since Lavigne – who has never been charged for indecency – has yet to perform here, to prejudge her performance as indecent is truly being indecently prejudiced.

Some say the concert is about freedom of expression rather than decency. It is really only about music, whether or not the music appeals to all, and no group has the right to impose its taste on others.

More Malaysians must understand that democracy is not about forcing the whims of some people on all others.

Still the calls to ban something over nothing at all, from those who dare claim their version of religious propriety will not impose on the rights of others.

People who mistake xenophobia for nationalism and cannot stand other people talking or singing need to be rejected outright.

Their menacing bigotry is the real toxic stain on the spirit of Merdeka.

Former Indonesian president Abdurrahman Wahid, popularly known as Gus Dur, said it was his personal belief that Anwar was innocent in the latest sodomy claim during a visit to Kuala Lumpur.

The long-time president of Nahdlatul Ulama also clarified the views were his personal opinion and does not reflect the party's beliefs.

Gus Dur said,

"I've known Anwar for more than 15 years and he is a man of integrity. It is impossible that he would have committed a crime such as sodomy.

In fact, together with former US Supreme Court justice Sarah O'Connor, we've put our thoughts on Anwar's charge in the Financial Times.

When he was first charged with this crime 10 years ago (under former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad), none of us believed it either.

The Syarie Lawyers Association of Malaysia said Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, who has accused Anwar Ibrahim of having sodomised him, should confine his accusation and testimony in a court of law and NOT announce them in any public place or to the media.

Somehow at this particular instance and circumstance, those Muslims suddenly have more faith with our secular criminal justice system than with the Sharia.

With rocketing oil prices threatening the global (and Malaysian) economies, (Prime Minister) Abdullah and his deputy Najib are content busying themselves that Saiful would swear on the Quran that he had been sodomized.

It is the height of obscenity to see this young man wearing his songkok and Baju Melayu, symbols of everything pure and pristine in our culture, entering the sanctity of the holy mosque in the heart of Malaysia to utter, “… telah memasukkan zakarnya ke dalam lubang dubur saya.”

All so clinical, and so well-timed politically! It would have been obscene even without the ugly smirk on Saiful’s face after he blurted his utterance.

Thankfully, he spared us the lurid details. One’s fantasy can get quite vivid, especially when given some attention and encouragement. As for the frequency, he has yet to decide on that. He is waiting to see Anwar’s diary first!

With his hands above the Holy Quran, witnessed by the Imam and nationally televised, those crudities issued forth from his sullied mouth. Obviously the cleansing ablution he took only minutes earlier before entering the mosque was merely a ritual, and a meaningless one at that.

Surely Saiful, and others beside him including and especially the pious Imam, realized that by just uttering those crudities he had effectively nullified his ablution. Yet there he was, piously declaring Allah hu Akhbar (God is Great!), and then proceeding to his prayers.

I cannot imagine a more despicable sight of desecration of our Holy Book. I would not stoop to this college dropout’s gutter level to even translate the obscenities coming forth from his soiled lips.

Someone had put a microphone on the young man so the world could hear his filthy utterance. How thoughtful! The event was broadcasted at prime time! I pity those parents who would have to explain to their young children on what had transpired.

Such are the priorities of this dysfunctional duo of Abdullah and Najib.

More importantly, (Abdullah Badawi's) lack of diligence as a leader, that on such important matters as our energy policy he remains blissfully detached except for making empty silly remarks.

In Abdullah (Badawi), we have a dull and apathetically detached leader who exploits the differences among us in order to remain in power.

In Anwar we have a charismatic leader well regarded especially internationally. He nurtures our commonalities and challenges us to rise above our differences.

Abdullah’s “I am Prime Minister for ALL Malaysians” utterance rings HOLLOW when he allows, nay encourages, the RACIST taunting of UMNO Youth leaders.

Again illustrative of his opportunistic and exploitative character, right after the March elections when his party’s position was threatened in many states, he initiated a series of secret meetings with the opposition PAS. In so doing he showed contempt for his Barisan coalition partners.

Abdullah was also insensitive, or more accurately contemptuous of the feelings of those non-Malays who voted for his Barisan candidates, UMNO and non-UMNO alike. The rewards he dangled must have been quite substantial to tempt the otherwise self-righteous PAS leaders to participate in those talks. Fortunately wiser heads prevailed in PAS; the futile discussions were aborted.

It is a testament to his leadership skills that Anwar could forge an alliance comprising the DAP and PAS, two parties that represent the polar extremes of political views in Malaysia.

Anwar was successful because he builds on their commonalities, their yearning for a clean, efficient and transparent government, one not blighted by cronyism and corruption.

I am also impressed with Anwar’s ability to attract many young talents. While UMNO had to content with such worn-out retreads like Ezam Noor, Anwar managed to attract many young educated individuals like Nik Nazmi and Sim Tze Tzin.

I Was Raped, Dammit

Saiful is insisting he was raped. He claims that Anwar “deflowered” him and that he had no feelings for the man.

He hints that Anwar had gone medieval on his ass more than once, although it’s hard to see how a fine young Muslim man like him would let Anwar have his way again and again after the first time.

Moreover, it implies that after you kena once and go see the Deputy Prime Minister about it, you get yourself into a situation where you get raped again and again, over two days (between Aug 26, the alleged “first time’, and Aug 28, the day he underwent medical checks and made a police report)

What in f.....g hell was the boy thinking ?

All of the above is going to put the prosecution into all sorts of trouble.

These questions remain:

• If Saiful was raped, why did the police charge Anwar with consensual sex?
  
  
• If Saiful was raped several times, why was Anwar charged with one count of sodomy only, and consensual sodomy at that?
  
  
• And when exactly did Saiful go see Najib?

I can barely wait for the trial.

Olympics Badminton: The Burden was Too Heavy , But Still a Silver Medal after 12 Years

The world No. 1,China's Lin Dan, was too good on the night. With that, he broke the hearts of 27 million Malaysians when he beat Lee Chong Wei for the Olympics gold medal in Beijing tonight.

Such is the cruel game of badminton. The one in better form on the night will win. And there is always a home ground advantage in any sports.

The expectations of the whole nation to bring back Malaysia's first-ever Olympic gold medal proved to be too heavy a burden for Lee Chong Wei.



But Chong Wei could hold his head high for what he had achieved at the Beijing Olympics.

He can return to Malaysia a hero as he is the FIRST Malaysian singles shuttler to qualify for the final in the Olympics.

Malaysia's last triumphant return from the Olympics was in 1996 with a silver from the doubles pair of Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock and a bronze from singles winner, Rashid Sidek.

Malaysians can be consoled that at least, there is a silver lining from the Beijing Olympics.

Chong Wei said:

“There's no excuse for losing. This is my worst defeat by him. I am sorry but I had no answer to Lin Dan's play today (yesterday). He was almost perfect and I know, I was disappointing but I just couldn't cope with his speed."

Although Chong Wei lost, Badminton Association of Malaysia president Datuk Mohd Nadzmi Salleh hoped that his success to make the final would inspire younger players.

“Although he did not win, I am happy that Chong Wei has made it to such a level. We will try again in London Olympics in four years' time but the important thing is we have to start planning now. We have to bring in our juniors into the national set-up,” he said.

JAMAICA'S Usain Bolt won Olympic gold and set a new world record in the 100m - with his left shoe undone.

Bolt's time of 9.69 seconds could have been faster - if his shoelace was tied - and if he hadn't spent the last metres pounding his chest and hamming it up for the cameras.

But Bolt, who won by more than a body length, wasn't fazed.

“It wasn’t planned,” Bolt said of his early celebration.

“My aim was to come out and win. When I saw the time, I’m celebrating. I’m happy.”

Assalammualaikum,

Saya fahami dan hormati perasaan anak-anak mengenai cadangan MB Selangor supaya membuka 10% dari tempat di UITM kepada kaum asing dan bukan bumiputera.

Sebagai seorang bekas mahasiswa (Universiti Malaya 1968/69-1970/71), semangat yang anak-anak tunjukkan sungguh mengkagumkan.

Lagi mengkagumkan saya ialah anak-anak berani berdemonstrasi TANPA permit sementara Akta Polis dan Akta Universiti masih berkuatkuasa. Saya dulu berdemonstrasi dalam keadaan Akta Universiti BELUM lagi digubal.

Tidakkah anak-anak berasa pelek KENAPA demonstrasi anak-anak yang meliputi beberapa kilometer TIDAK di halang olih Polis FRU walaupun TIDAK mempunyai permit dan BERBAU PERKAUMAN?

Mengapa perlu berdemonstrasi di Permatang Pauh?

Saya TIDAK mengesyaki kejujuran anak-anak dalam mengadakan demonstrasi tersebut. Tetapi apabila kita berdemonstrasi anak-anak, perkara pertama yang perlu kita selidiki ialah isunya.

Semasa SAYA berdemonstrasi dulu, KAMI sering berdemonstrasi kerana:

• mempertahankan bahasa Melayu;
  
  
• memperjuangkan nasib nelayan, petani, setinggan dan kaum marhaen;
  
  
• menentang korupsi dan salahguna kuasa olih pemerintah;
  
  
• mempertahankan kebebasan mahasiswa untuk bersuara;
  
  
• memperjuangkan hak-hak kaum Melayu; dan sebagainya.

Kita juga mesti menghalusi SIAPAKAH penganjur sebenar atau dalang di belakang sesuatu demnonstrasi itu. Ada demonstrasi dizahirkan sebagai demonstrasi bagi menentang korupsi tetapi sebenarnya bertujuan menjatuhkan seorang lawan politik dalang di sebalik demonstrasi itu. Misalnya demonstrasi menentang Dato' Harun Idris atau demonstrasi Dr Mahathir menentang Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Saya faham anak-anak jujur berdemonstrasi kerana menentang kemasukan kaum bukan bumiputera ke UITM. Tetapi tidakkah anak-anak sedar bahawa MB Selangor sekadar membuat cadangan sahaja?

Beliau tidak mempunyai kuasa untuk menukar dasar pengambilan pelajar UITM kerana kuasa itu ditangan Kerajaan Pusat.

Mengapa anak-anak bagitu marah dengan MB Selangor dan membawa perkara ini ke Permatang Pauh?

Di sinilah anak-anak mesti dalami SIAPA dalang di belakang demonstrasi anak-anak dan sedar yang dalang itu sedang mempergunakan anak-anak melalui wakil-wakil pelajar anak-anak yang sememangnya pro Aspirasi/UMNO bagi tujuan politik mereka.

Orang-orang UMNO ini bertujuan mencemarkan nama baik PKR/Pakatan Rakyat di kalangan kaum Melayu.

Olih kerana pilihanraya kecil Permatang Pauh akan diadakan tidak lama lagi mereka mengambil kesempatan dari cadangan MB Selangor itu untuk mencemar imej Saudara Anwar Ibrahim yang akan bertanding di pilihanraya kecil itu sebagai calun PKR/Pakatan Rakyat di kalangan pengundi-pengundi Melayu di Permatang Pauh.

Sebenarnya, Saudara Anwar Ibrahimlah pejuang sebenar bangsa Melayu. Sebagai seorang yang se 'batch' dengan beliau di Universiti Malaya, SAYA layak memperakui bahawa beliaulah yang telah banyak memperjuangkan nasib bahasa dan bangsa Melayu dan agama Islam semenjak beliau di Universiti Malaya lagi sehingga beliau 'dipecat' dari Kerajaan dan UMNO atas tuduhan liwat yang akhirnya terbukti tidak benar.

Tahukah anak-anak:

• SIAPA yang telah berkorban dari menjadi 'orang makan gaji' tetapi sebaliknya memilih untuk menubuhkan Yayasan Pelajaran Anda bagi memberi peluang kedua kepada anak-anak Melayu mendapatkan pendidikan tinggi?
  
  
• SIAPA yang mengilhamkan UIA?
  
  
• SIAPA yang menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam di dalam Kerajaan dan sistem pendidikan kebangsaan?, dan
  
  
• SIAPA yang memperjuangkan si Melayu miskin dalam era pemimpin tertinggi Kerajaan BN menumpukan perhatian kepada kaum pemodal saja?

Tidak masuk akal jika Saudara Anwar akan bersetuju dengan cadangan MB Selangor itu jika ditakdirkan menjadi PM kelak, InsyAllah!

Saya ingin bertanya: Sanggupkah anak-anak diperalatkan untuk menjatuhkan orang semulia Saudara Anwar Ibrahim?

Jika anak- anak tidak percaya tanyalah bapa, ibu, bapa saudara, ibu saudara dan/atau saudara mara anak-anak yang mengenali Saudara Anwar Ibrahim dari dekat atau dari jauh. Orang inilah yang menjadi target orang-orang UMNO yang mendalangi demonstrasi anak-anak sehingga membawa anak-anak ke Permatang Pauh.

Lihat betapa hebatnya orang-orang UMNO ini mengamalkan double standard dalam mengendalikan undang-undang negara. Demonstrasi yang didalangi mereka tidak perlu permit dan tidak mendapat tentangan Polis.

Mereka mengheret anak-anak ke kancah politik tanpa mengira Akta Universiti? Mereka berlagak saperti raja dan apabila anak-anak keluar UITM nanti mereka tidak memperdulikan anak-anak semua tanpa sebarang kerja atau mata pencarian.

Jika anak-anak membuat sedikit kajian sebelum anak-anak berdemonstrasi pasti anak-anak akan ketahui yang banyak mengubah dasar mengenai hak istimewa Melayu ialah UMNO sendiri yang mempergunakan retorik ketuanan Melayu bagi mengekalkan sokongan Melayu.

Saya perturunkan di sini sedikit sebanyak fakta untuk tatapan anak-anak:-

1. Dasar Ekonomi Baru yang digembar-gemburkan olih UMNO sebenarnya sudah ditukarkan kepada Dasar Pertumbuhan Nasional sejak tahun 1990 lagi. Dasar baru ini mengutamakan pertumbuhan ekonomi negara tanpa mengira nasib kaum-kaum.
   
   
2. Selama 30 tahun DEB dilaksanakan, sebanyak lebihkurang RM300 billion telah dibelanjakan olih Kerajaan ke atas projek-projek pemberian Kerajaan untuk kepentingan orang-orang tertentu tanpa mengira nasib orang Melayu. Orang Melayu miskin hanya mendapat kulit sahaja.
   
   
3. Duit pemberian PETRONAS kepada Kerajaan sebanyak RM160 billion telah dibazirkan olih Kerajaan ke atas projek-projek yang berdaya maju dan sekarang membebankan rakyat dengan harga minyak yang tinggi kononnya untuk mendapatkan wang untuk pembangunan negara,
   
   
4. Dasar meritokrasi untuk masuk ke universiti telah pun dilaksanakan olih Kerajaan BN secara perlahan-lahan. Di bawah dasar ini juga Dr Mahathir telah mencadangkan supaya UITM dibuka kepada bukan bumiputera.
   
   Dengar apa kata Professor Khoo Kay Khim "Sebenarnya cadangan MB Selangor itu bukan isu kerana bukan perkara baru. Ianya telah pun dicadangkan dahulu olih pihak Kerajaan tetapi mendapat sambutan kaum bukan bumiputera".
   
   MENGAPA ORANG-ORANG UMNO DAN ANAK-ANAK TIDAK BERDEMONSTRASI SEHEBAT HARI INI WAKTU ITU?
   
   ADAKAH JAGUH-JAGUH MELAYU-UMNO BERSIFAT MUNAFIK?!
   
   
5. MRSM yang telah juga ditubuhkan di bawah Fasal 153, Perlembagaan Persekutuan telah pun dibuka kepada bukan bumiputera sebanyak 10-15%.
   
   MENGAPA ANAK-ANAK TIDAK MENENTANG PEMBUKAAN MRSM KEPADA BUKAN BUMIPUTERA INI YANG AKAN AKHIRNYA MEMAKSA UITM DIBUKA KEPADA BUKAN BUMIPUTERA?
   
   
6. Baru-baru ini 45% daripada biasiswa yang dikeluarkan olih Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam telah diberi kepada bukan bumiputera, naik daripada 10% sebelum itu. Kenaikan ini diakui olih Kerajaan diambil daripada kuota biasiswa untuk orang Melayu.
   
   MENGAPA ANAK-ANAK SEMUA MEMBISU DALAM HAL INI?
   
   
7. Tanah rizab Melayu sekarang tinggal 25% daripada keluasannya pada tahun 1957. Ini adalah kerana kerakusan pemimpin-pemimpin UMNO membangunkan tanah tersebut bersama dengan kaum lain dan dijual kepada orang bukan Melayu.
   
   MENGAPA ANAK-ANAK TIDAK SEDAR?

Saya menyeru kepada anak-anak dan ibu-bapa anak-anak supaya membuka mata dan telinga seluas-luasnya. Jangan biarkan diri anak-anak yang masih muda diperalatkan olih UMNO untuk melanjutkan politik perkauman mereka.

Politik perkauman yang dipaksakan ke atas anak-anak akan menghalang anak-anak daripada mendapat perkerjaan lumayan di sektor swasta. Jangan salahkan kaum BUKAN Melayu pada waktu itu.
