--- End of Update---

Nasir Safar, a special officer to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, labelled the Indians and Chinese in this country as 'pendatang' or immigrants., He had also threatened to 'revoke' the citizenship of those who are vocal about the 12-subject cap for the SPM examination.

The stinging remarks during a '1Malaysia' seminar this afternoon led to scores of MIC and MCA members as well as representatives from non-governmental organisations staging a walkout.

It is learnt that MIC Youth is expected to file a police report later this afternoon while a memorandum will be submitted to Najib when he visits Malacca on Feb 4.

In an immediate reaction, MIC president S Samy Vellu expressed outrage over the incident.

Describing the remarks as being "racist of the highest order", S Samy Vellu urged the premier to take the appropriate action against his aide.

It does not matter what they call you. The important thing is that this country must be run in accordance with the constitution and the Rukun Negara. MCA and MIC have only feathered their own nest over the last 50 years. Why should they complain. Look at the Cabinet and all State Executive Committees. They clearly reflect the racial composition of the country. But other government run institutions and Government Linked Companies have overlooked this aspect of of our constitution. As a matter of principle taxpayer's money must be used for the benefit of all Malaysians and not only Indian and Chinese.

Semuanya wayang kulit.

You really think this guy will be out of a job?

He'll "resign" but is rehired by a crony (with better pay) & seconded back to Najis.

This kind of racist ketuanan bigot has got a bright future in UMNO.

Rocky Bru in his website commented nasir Safar's resignation was an honourable act. Look at the matter from the broader perspective. An honourable act to cover an earlir dishonorable racist remark coming out from a person of such caliber and ranking? Is this a joke? Is there anything honourable about his resignation? What other option has he got anyway? Stay put and refuse to resign? The Malaysian Indians and Chinese challenge him so. If this can be said honourable, this word must have lost its original meaning. But in Malaysia, as they say, anything goes.

1Malaysia? Huh? What's that? I never understand the slogan, it is just another tricks from the politicians to get back supports.

If the idea is truly, genuinely about unity, how could this kind of words "slip" through? Does that means that those politicians who are racists, as long as they don't speak out loudly, they are considered supporters of unity??

Nasir Safar,
One of the few left over BUMIBUTA(probably ancestor coming from Cilacap or Lampung or the Riau Islands of Jawa origin, talk rubbish and people struggling to reuinte all Malaysian, he says the most stupidest remarks for a person working close to the PM and just resign after saying those racist remarks. PM says has nothing to do with him. He is such left over BUMIBUTA and I hope the good Bumiputera will kick him as ahrd as possible, these are the people taht will destroy the country like Zulkifli Nordin and Ibrahim Ali.

Discount 90% of whatever Rocky Bru writes. If Nasir's resignation is honourable, we have given "honour" a bad name.
I am waiting to see if the police will charge him under the sedition act.

Cheers.

1 MALAYSIA? What's that? Malaysia was originally so "broken up", and now with all these talk about Bumiputra and Non bumiputra, "imitation" Malays who try to be more Malay than the Malays, people who come out with stupid slogans calling non-Malays pendatang, claiming that original Indian and Chinese immigrants were beggars and prostitutes, and what not nonsense is breaking up those pieces further into smaller fragments! Even using SUPERGLUE pun tak boleh glue backlah!

Why must the concept of 1Malaysia be mention everytime BN leaders making speeches. Was there ever 2 Malaysia from day 1? If there was, it was created by BN leaders as they deem themselves as the higher class malaysians (Class 1A) and every other citizen as the lower class malaysians (Class 2F).The actual concept of 1 Malaysia is to align the 2 different class of citizen so that the lower class citizen can acknowledge and accept the needs and lifestyles of the upper class ie. corruption at all cost. It was never in the mind set of BN leaders to bring the different communities and culture together. What we have seen so far show no indication that the BN leaders is not sincere in what they said. Talk one thing but do the opposite just like Nasir Safar. If these words were uttered by the opposition or those not from BN, I'm sure that ISA will be charge immediately. So Najib, show the citizen how just a leader you are! I'm sure these phrase is not only in the mind of Nasir Safar but also in the minds of countless BN-UMNO. Please bear in mind that a large majority of the other culture paid large amount of taxes to the govt. from day 1.

Whatever words one uses to describe Malaysian Politics, we must remember we are all Human Beings if we really know our origin. The Earth belongs to the Human Beings and not to the aliens! Hope all of us in Malaysia are Human Beings and not aliens or alien being (if there is such a word).Hope the PM lives up to his words. MALAYSIAN55SELANGOR
