Updated! WHY They Quit PKR !

Read here and here and here for more

Almost all the state councillors and members of parliament who resigned from PKR had met with the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak or his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor PRIOR to their exit. He said it was also well-known that these renegades had financial problems and were being investigated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Speculation is rife that Prime Minister Najib Razak had given his cousin, Hamdan, a juicy Independent Power Plant contract so that they could finance the defections of at least ten Pakatan Rakyat federal lawmakers into the Umno-BN.

The man behind this ‘shopping spree’ to buy the opposition Members of Parliament is Hamdan, Najib’s cousin, who was given the Kudat IPP as the ‘cash cow’ to finance the shopping spree. The Kudat IPP comes with a ‘commission’ of RM50 million. And this RM50 million is to be used to pay off the opposition Members of Parliament as an inducement to cross over.

  1. Mohsin Fadzli Samsuri

Bagan Serai member of Parliament Mohsin Fadzli Samsuri said he decided to leave PKR because he disagrees with the party's stand on the 'Allah' issue. PKR advocates that use of the word is not exclusive to Muslim.

Mohsin said his faith in PKR and Pakatan Rakyat has eroded over the party's failure to restore its principles and the sovereignty of Islam as well as to defend the institutions of the monarchy and the judiciary.

Mohsin, a first-term parliamentarian, beat Zainal Abidin Zin of Umno in the 12th general election by 3,413 votes in a constituency of 47,111 voters.

Mohsin was accompanied by former PKR secretary-general Salehuddin Hashim at his press conference in Kuala Lumpur this morning to announce his decision. Salehuddin had also appeared at the press conferences of the other two parliamentarians when they announced their resignations from PKR.

  2. Tan Tee Beng

Tan (Tee Beng) from Penang was paid only RM2 million (by UMNO/BN) . It is not much but he has gambling debts up to his eyeballs and the loan sharks or along are camped outside his house so he has no choice but to accept this figure.

  3. Salehuddin Hashim

There’s a misconception that the party received Salehuddin’s services for free. He agreed to accept RM9,000 a month remuneration, although earlier he requested for US$3,000 monthly. The sum was not paid by the party but by a supporter," according to Syed Husin Ali.

Salehudin's anger towards the party leadership climaxed when his “application” to be CEO of Syarikat Perangsang, which carries a monthly emolument of more than RM50,000, was rejected.

Salehuddin's recent anti-PKR stance could be due to the Selangor government's decision not to appoint him as chief executive of Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd. Kumpulan Perangsang, owned by Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd, is one of the biggest state-owned conglomerates with interests in infrastructure, utilities and properties.

There is peculation that Salehuddin is masterminding an exodus from PKR, fueled further by his claims that at least 10 more are expected to quit soon.

  4. Zahrain Hashim

Lim Guan Eng released details of how his administration over-ruled Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohd Hashim’s recommendation for the state-owned Bukit Jambul Country Club’s (BJCC) operations contract to be awarded to a RM2 company. The Penang chief minister said the state government decided instead to have an open tender for the contract, which was subsequently awarded to another, more experienced company.

Zahrain is President of Bukit Jambul Golf & Country Club, which is Penang State-owned. When Lim Guan Eng insisted on an open tender for the maintenance job (worth a total of RM3 million per year) and over rode his selection of his friend’s RM2 company, Zahrain’s fuse blew!

His first reaction was to demand (together with Balik Pulau MP Yusmaidi Yusuff) that the Chief Minister’s post be rotated between DAP and PKRThe PDC board decided to award, via an open tender, the operations contract to a company which Lim said was worth more than RM40 million. The PDC board, rejected Zahrain’s recommendation that it should have been awarded to the RM2 company he had recommended.

  5. Fairus Khairuddin

Fairuz was the great Malay hope in PKR, but he proceeded to embarrass his party and the Pakatan Rakyat coalition that was empowered by the opposition triumph in Penang.

His inability to be punctual was the most troubling of his several defects. Nobody seemed to know for sure why he was often late. Initially, he was heard to offer the excuse that funerals kept him tied up but when it was suggested to him that a sympathy appearance was sufficient to satisfy bereaved constituents, he ran out of excuses.

A lack of punctuality, the high turnover rate among aides hired to help him, underperformance at his state executive portfolios, and his maladroit handling of the ensuing discontent over his shoddy performance, all combined to undermine the image of PKR in the state government.

His PKR colleagues in the state executive council, Malik and Law Choo Kiang, were deeply embarrassed by Fairus’ poor performance and were exposed to the resultant, albeit largely unspoken, derision of their DAP colleagues.

  6. Wee Choo Keong (rumored to be leaving Pakatan Rakyat soon)

Wee Choo Keong’s problem is more complicating. It involves two mistresses and one who has just given birth and Umno has threatened to expose this scandal. He also has this RM35 million legal problem with Ambank and if this can be settled ‘out of court’ then Wee will certainly become another ‘independent’ Member of Parliament.

Ahli Parlimen Bagan Serai Mohsin Fadzil Samsuri Banyak Hutang. Projek Banyak Gagal

It is the people's mistake because we voted for them and placed tham on a pedestal. They will always sell their pound of flesh that in chagre of their right or left hand as the case may be to whosoever is will to give the best bid. They should be allowed to leave to swell the ranks of the ruling party.
The way my government is spending money I am beginning to get a bit jittery. When the chips are down no one will lend us money until we have paid our debts. This does not only apply to Credit Card Holders who do not pay their bills. This also applies to companies and in a larger context States.

Just step back and look at what is happening to Greece.
