Quote:
"We (UMNO State Assemblymen) must distribute the amount in a fair and just manner to those of other parties, like the MCA, the MIC, Gerakan, the PPP and even the IPF (which is a non-coalition member)."
-Datuk Seri Najib, Deputy Prime Minister

"..It would seem that the UMNO buggers have been keeping all the loot for themselves, so much so that Najib has to tell them to share it out. Sickening, isn’t it?"
- "The Aisehman"

Malaysian Unplug says:

Development allocations to State Assemblymen are TAX-PAYERS' money. The money does NOT come from the contributions/ subscriptions of UMNO, MCA or MIC members, so that they are only to be shared among themselves.

These allocations are funds provided by ALL Malaysians through their taxes.

State Assemblymen, irrespective of their political affliation, once elected, are duty-bound when they take oath of office, to serve ALL the people in their respective constituencies, irrrespective who they had voted for, ie to serve the country, NOT to serve their own political parties with taxpayers' money.

Mr. Deputy Prime Minister,

You are grossly mistaken to advise UMNO State Assemblymen to share the financial loot funded by taxpayers with only BN political parties. That is a totally WRONG message to give to UMNO politicians, knowing fully well their propensity to see, read and speak all things on racial and communal lines.

You are encouraging further a Third-World mentality among UMNO politicians ."

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib said at the gotong-royong organised by the Barisan Backbenchers’ Club at Kampung Sungai Isap, near Pekan on 9th August 2007:

" Allocations given to UMNO ASSEMBLYMEN are NOT to be shared with JUST bumiputras.

BN state assemblymen must share development allocations given to them with ALL communities.

The practice of looking ONLY LOOKING AFTER ONE'S OWN COMMUNITY should be discarded for the good of the country.

We must distribute the amount in a fair and just manner to those of other parties, like the MCA, the MIC, Gerakan, the PPP and
even the IPF (which is a non-coalition member)."

Commentary

  • From "The Aisehman":Read here for more

"...Nothing can be so amusing and disgusting at the same time as thieves quarelling over the spoils.

Note that at first, you might think that elected reps are being told to distribute the goods to EVERYONE in their respective constituencies, but then Najib lets you on to what he really means — “We must distribute the amount in a fair and just manner to those of other parties, like the MCA, the MIC, Gerakan, the PPP and even the IPF”.

It would seem that the Umno buggers have been keeping all the loot for themselves, so much so that Najib has to tell them to share it out.

    Sickening, isn’t it?"
