We say,

It is time that the UMNO leadership stop this crap coming from the un-trained mouths of its MPs brought up with a kampung-mentality.

These ignorant MPS behave as though the august House is a kampung pondok where you spew out narrow and parochial views, not of the world, but about the state of our nation and its people.

MPs like Tajuddin Abdul Rahman don't serve UMNO/BN well and truly, especially with BN's poor performance in the recent election, in the eyes of non-Malay voters in any future General Elections.

MPs like him don't deserve any respect not only from non-Malay communities but from intelligent members of the Malay community.

His views are not only racist, but a hurtful insult to non-Malays who are born in this country and to generations of non-Malays such as the nonyas and babas, who have been living in this country much longer than some of the UMNO members.

There are UMNO members and leaders whose claim to "Malayness", not by ethnic origins, but by taking unwarranted advantage from a quirky clause in the Federal Constitution and whose forefathers came only quite recently from other neighbouring countries like India, Indonesia and from the Middle East.

Tajuddin Abdul Rahman should take a good hard look at the ancestral origins of the UMNO leadership.

UMNO must quickly get rid of politicians of the like of Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, if UMNO/BN wants to win the heart and minds of non-Malays to win comfortably the reins of government in future General Elections.

We have enough of such idiocy from UMNO politicians of the like of Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for the better part of the last 50 years of Malaysia.

UMNO MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman (Pasir Salak) has labelled non-Malays in the country as immigrants in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.

MCA Youth secretary-general Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong is asking Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak as the Chief Whip, to take action against Tajuddin.

Dr. Wee said,

"His statement contained racist elements. It had more or less hurt the feelings of the Chinese community and other non-Malays.

Our legal bureau will look into this for the sake of preserving the solidarity within BN.

We are all Malaysian citizens and must observe national unity. This does not have any good and could also be damaging and provoke reaction."

Wee said if no action is taken against Tajuddin, they plan to lodge a police report.

The press conference was also attended by representatives from Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth and the Federation of Malaysian Clans and Guilds Youths Association which protested Tajuddin's comments.
