I remember reading Dr Mahatir who complained that the Chinese cared for their children from cradle to the grave, and so it is that we are such as he says we are. There is nothing special about the Chinese love for their family, because it is also Christian to postulate that Happiness lies in the giving and not so much on what you can take off your neighbour. In this video clip, lies the very simple lesson but nevertheless a beautiful story that this old woman is happy in the seemingly harsh and difficult live that hse lives. However, her happiness lies in providing for the betterment of her children; this too is very Chinese, to improve the lives of the next generation. This is the story of China, to save for and to better society for the future, and like China, thhis lady paves the way for the future by living in garbage, but her wisdom lies in the future which for now the young girl does not yet see. I am sure I will be taken to task for saying it, but the Malays are motivated by what they can take and not what they can give. A NATION is great only when all their citizens can contribute as a whole, but in Malaysia 32% minority is purposefully suppressed from growing a bigger national pie; and with full respect for the feelings of the Malays, the participating 68% majourity cannot find a meaningful way to grow the pie big enough even for themselves. Is it not right to say that if you can't do it why stop others from doing it right ? How will suppressing your minority communities from progressing damage the interests of the Malays ? I do believe that I am correct to say that meaningful education does not exist in Malaysia because those who graduate from local institutions of education do not function meaningfully. A Lawyer or scientist or accountant or whatever graduated from a Malaysian university cannot function in his profession as one contributing solutions to his profession. A judge of the august Court of Appeal does not know her law, what then can be expected from those from the lower ranks ?
I simply love this video clip. And I love the message it drives home into our hearts. I think our Malaysian Government must ensure all MPs, YBs and Menteris see it to remind their duties. Especially all those UMNO polticians who accumulated their filty wealth at the expense of the rakyat. malsia1206
