UPDATED: Precedent Should NOT Be Set to Appease these Scumbag Muslims Threatening the Security of the Nation and for Insulting the Hindu faith

UPDATE:

8 September 2009

The Sri Maha Mariamman temple committee says it wants to either relocate to Section 23 in Shah Alam or to remain at the current site. If the 150-year-old temple were to remain where it is, the committee wants the compound to be restored to its original size and also provided better protection. Read here for more
---- END OF UPDATE ---

On the issue of the relocation of the Hindu temple, the question Malaysians must seriously ask is this:
Should we appease the 50-odd Malay Muslims whose extremely inflammatory action of parading with a severed cow head was meant to insult the Hindu faith as a protest against the relocation of a 150-year old Hindu temple?

These 50-odd Malay Muslims had said they would shed blood if the temple is relocated to Section 23.
There is pressure from UMNO to the Selangor State Govt to appease these 50-odd Malay Muslims by not relocating the Hindu temple at Section 23. In fact, there is move by the Selangor Govt to find another location for this 150-year Hindu temple which had been in Section19 long BEFORE the establishment of a housing estate in Shah Alam.

If the original plan to relocate the Hindu temple at Section 23 does not proceed, a very dangerous PRECEDENT will be set by the Govt (State and Federal). It will send a clear message to other extremists and religious bigots in the country that they can threaten the peace and security of the nation and get away with it.

We say, the Government must stand firm on this issue and the Selangor State Govt should NOT buckle in the face of these 50-odd Malay Muslim extremists .

These Malay Muslim extremists have shown total disregard for the safety and security of the state and, to boot, thump their noses at a duly elected government.

It is in the interest of the Federal Government and UMNO to stand firm with the Selangor State Govt, and not to let partisan politics get in the way by allowing these Malay Muslim extremists to have an upper hand in the running of the country or state.

UMNO must also come to terms with the fact that its policy in the last 30 years, especially under the Mahathir regime of buckling down to Malay racial extremism and politicising Islam, have led to the present state of affairs.

Malay extremists in the country had been using the name of Islam to undermine the rule of law in the country. And UMNO allowed itself, wittingly or unwittingly, to play their racially and religiously divisive game to maintain political power.

These Malay Muslim extremists know fully well that following March 2008 election, UMNO is very vulnerable. It is this vulnerabilty of UMNO that these Malay Muslim extremists are capitalising upon to achieve their political ends and self-interest ambitions. They are found operating in the Malay vernacular media, in several Malay NGOs, within the UMNO grassroot hierarchy as well as in the Opposition parties (PKR and PAS).

These Malay Muslims are now beyond daring, as evident in their rhetoric and street action in the recent cow-head demonstration.

Unfortunately, we also have a Prime Minister who is himself vulnerable to these Malay extremists. Allegations of scandals in his personal life and perception of him willing to play the race card at every opportunity do not help him at all to rein in these Malay Muslim extremists.

They are telling Najib and UMNO who is the real boss dictating the running of the country.

Unless the Govt stop appeasing these Malay extremists, the country is surely and steadily sliding down the slope.

These Malay extremists are more than willing to bring the country to the brink of the May 13, 1969 racial riot. In 1969, it was against primarily the Chinese, now they are targeting the Indians/Hindus. UMNO must not become a party to these Malay Muslim extremists AGAIN, as it did so in the days and hours ahead leading towards the 13 May 1969 racial riot.

We appeal to the Federal Govt to come to its senses quickly and to use the nation's security apparatus to rein in these Malay extremists before it is too late.

UMNO, as the dominant party in government is duty bound to put public and national interest ahead of partisan politics. It can start with cleaning up some of its grassroot leaders.

Coming back to the relocation of the Hindu temple, a precedent should NOT be set by appeasing to these 50-odd Malay Muslim extremists' demands. They should instead be facing the full force of the law of the land for their actions on the street and their inflammatory rhetoric.

We ask that the Selangor State Govt must stand firm in the longer term interest of the nation and the people: That is, the original plan of relocating the Hindu temple at Section 23 should stay on the table for as long as it takes.

We are in interesting times... and a very dangerous one too.

The Govt can take a leaf out of the Australian experience with the anti-Asian politics of Pauline Hanson and her One Nation Party. Read here and here and here

Should the temple moved out from Section 23?

A MUSLIM perspective

by

Dr. Rafick

Read here for more

1. Someone commented in my blog that may be it is best the temple be moved out from Section 23 to avoid bigger tragedy in the near future. As a Muslim, I say that is probably the worst thing anyone can do under the current circumstances. Running away is never a solution and in this case can it can be a precedent to bigger things.

2. Over the last 52 years since Merdeka, we have been living in under the false pretences that everything is fine with multi ethnic Malaysia and it seems that over the last 52 years things were made to look fine because we were asked to tolerate our neighbors and not accept them as what they are. The politicians has been dividing the people and ruling the country for their own self interest. In the next few paragraph, I will explain why I feel the temple should stay in Section 23.

3. In addressing the temple issue, we need to understand the background of the issue. My own take on the matter may not be accurate as I based on information told to me by friends and what I have researched on the internet. The million dollar question that we need to ask is –Is it really about the temple or about politics with the aim of destabilizing the state government?

4. From what can be seen since the infamous march with a cow head, the involvement of Dato Noh Omar and the open backing of Hishamuddin and the most recent action of few residents during the town hall meeting in Shah Alam, it can be concluded that there are bigger things at play here rather than the temple issue itself. A few ground pawns have been doing their part effectively because they know they have a big umbrella protecting them.

5. In dealing with this matter, I believe the law of the land must be respected. If the Selangor Government chose to relocate the Sri Mariaman temple (SMT), it appears that it has failed in its responsibility and the respect to the law. It would appear that a government would give in to the thugs. Is the government so weak?

6. Some people think that the whole Malay residents of Section 23 do not want the temple there. In reality, the basic issues that need to be asked are whether they have any right to object? What is their basis of objection? They keep saying it is because of “Muslim Sensitivity” but yet they cannot justify to meaning of the phrase.

7. From my observation, the people that is echoing and propagating this “Muslim Sensitivity” are very few. They are a core group of people that is responsible in inciting and poisoning the minds of the residents of Section 23. The master mind that is poisoning the peoples mind in that area is only 4-5 of them. Majorities are fence sitter who doesn’t know what is right and what is wrong.

8. Islamic law, the Malaysian law and constitution does not forbid non Muslims to practice their religion. Physically the chosen site is in Section 23 is good for everyone. It has a good access unlike the one in Section 19. I believe the best step forward is for the State Government should consider is to actually obtained feedback from residents who are able to give their views professionally and without the interference of thugs.

9. Maybe, MBSA or/and Shah Alam PAS members should form a special team and visit each resident and talk to them individually at their home and listen to their views and argue professionally in this respect. Collate this information and understand the real issues with the residents. I believe the residents if interviewed at the comfort of their home or office should be able to explain things rationally.

10. The state must stop this political interference. It must follow the law of the land. They must not be intimidated by a bunch of thugs. The country has laws. If the thugs want to create problem like killing people or burning temples down, let them do it. The state should ask the police to handle such matters. After all that is what they are paid for. The police must do their part. It is time that all Malaysian must learn to accept their neighbors.

11. As a Muslim, I am truly ashamed that the Section 23 thugs have failed to show their intellectual strength. It is a bad reflection on all of us Muslims in Malaysia. Selangor government, I urged that you maintain your stand and it would be good if PAS Shah Alam will make a stand on this matter openly.

See videos on how the thugs of Section 23 behave here.

The Cow-Head Videos MCMC Don't Want YOU to See and Asked to be Removed from the Website of Malaysiakini

BELOW are the VIDEO CLIPS which MCMC (Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission) asked Malaysiakini to be removed (see attached letter from MCMC to Malaysiakini)

UPDATE:

Three MCMC officers visited Malaysiakini office in Bangsar Utama at 2pm to question editor-in-chief Steven Gan, who had yesterday said the website would NOT remove the videos.

At the 45-minute session, Gan told MCMC investigation officer Mohd Shukri Jamaluddin that Malaysiakini was carrying out its job as a media organisation in reporting key news events.

“I told them we did not violate the Act as we did not intend to ‘annoy’ anyone by uploading the videos, but to bring the cow-head protest to public attention,” he said.

The videos cited were the ‘Temple demo: Residents march with cow’s head’ and ‘Hisham: Don’t blame cow-head protesters’.The second video is on Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein’s meeting two days ago with the residents who staged the protest and his subsequent press conference. Read here for more

MUST READ ARTICLE: Living Near Chinese and Hindu Temples Made ME a Muslim Loving the Holy Quran MORE

Read here article in Anas Zubedy Blog

Quote:

"I grew up accustomed to Chinese drums and Hindu temple bells and the experience made ME a Muslim who loves the Quran MORE than any other book in the world.

Bob Agency (near Fettes Park, Penang) for the better part of the year was left empty but the piece of land comes alive twice a year when the Chinese temple organize Chinese Operas ( Teng Lang Kho Tai) especially during the Hungry Ghost Festivals.

Each year the Temple Committee, both Hindu and Chinese will go house to house to request donation either for the upkeep, repair and temple improvement or for projects like the Hungry Ghost festivals or Thaipusam.

Each time my Mom will ask me to tell them politely that as Muslims we CANNOT donate to a ‘Tok Kong’.

I did not question my mom’s reasoning as I took it as true; not until 1977 when the Penang State Government was building the Penang State Mosque.

It was announced that LOH BOON SIEW the big
Tau Keh of Penang donated RM 1 Million to the building of the state MOSQUE.

But wait a minute.

We CANNOT GIVE but we CAN TAKE
? That does NOT sound right and downright UNFAIR.

My mom had NO answers.

So I had to bring it up during AGAMA class in school.

I asked if I could donate to temples and her (Ustazah) answer was a firm ‘NO’.

We CAN'T give but we CAN accept ??

I told her that my religion sounds unfair and I CANNOT accept her answer as my Grand Dad told me Islam is the most just religion in the world.

She (finally) said that if we were to give any donations to the ‘Tok Kong’, we must ‘niat’ that it is money we ‘ buang ke dalam sungai.

I told her ‘
Ustazah dah merepet’.

I did not get my answer until my university days when I took to reading the Quran and Muslim history for myself.

I discovered that the Quran suggested:
"....WOE UNTO THOSE who give short measure: those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in FULL, but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give LESS than what is due! Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead? [and called to account] on an awesome Day (Quran 83: 1-5).

....(They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,- (for no cause) except that they say, "our Lord is God.." Did not God check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of God is commemorated in abundant measure. God will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);- for verily God is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will).( Quran 22:40).

To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came BEFORE it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way? If God had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God. it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute "(Quran 5:48)
Thank You Bob Agency, Thank You Evergreen Road, Thank You Fettes Park, Thank You Penang, Thank You Malaysia!

Thank you for helping see the world the way God wanted me to see it.

NEW BOB AGENCY - What the Quran Says about Non-Muslim Places of Worship

by

Anas Zubedy

Anas Zubedy was born in Penang.

He speaks English, Malay, Hokkien & some Tamil.

He is the Managing Director and founder of Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd and a graduate from University Malaya

I grew up accustomed to Chinese drums and Hindu temple bells and the experience made me a Muslim who loves the Quran more than any other book in the world.

Let me tell you why …

GROWING UP IN FETTES PARK, PENANG

I grew up at Fettes Park Penang, Evergreen Road to be exact.

From Fettes Road turning into Evergreen Road, you will need to battle a short slope uphill where we kids would need to paddle standing up while riding our bicycles and where many ladies would jump off to push theirs till the road flattens 10 meters ahead – about 100 meters later you will pass my house, house number 14.

There is an empty space almost triangular in shape where the two roads meet. At the centre of that empty land stood a large tall leafy bee infested tree with red colored nuts sprouting from the branches. On one side of the empty land was a row of shop-houses.

THE PIECE OF LAND CALLED BOB AGENCY

On its corner lot wall the words NEW BOB AGENCY in red bold capital letters greeted the Fettes Park community for many years. So we call that little corner piece of land - Bob Agency.

Across the road to Bob Agency stood two temples; one Chinese and the other a Hindu one.

Bob Agency for the better part of the year was left empty but the piece of land comes alive twice a year when the Chinese temple organize Chinese Operas ( Teng Lang Kho Tai) especially during the Hungry Ghost Festivals. Usually the first two days it would be the Chinese Opera (we use to call it Tong Tong Tong Cheng! Show) and followed by a second two days of modern bands belting the latest Chinese numbers and some popular western songs (I love it when the emcee announced something like “ Andy Gibb chang terk, Shallow Lancing!” ).

DONATING TO "TOK KONG"

Each year the temple committee, both Hindu and Chinese will go house to house to request donation either for the upkeep, repair and temple improvement or for projects like the Hungry Ghost festivals or Thaipusam.

Each time my Mom will ask me to tell them politely that as Muslims we CANNOT donate to a ‘To Kong’. (Besides, we actually did not have any extra cash anyway! Ha!ha!)

They too were polite and understanding and just moved away wishing me thank you regardless.

I did not question my mom’s reasoning as I took it as true; not until 1977 when the Penang State Government was building the Penang State Mosque. I was 13.

It was announced that Loh Boon Siew the big Tau Keh of Penang donated RM 1 Million to the building of the state MOSQUE.

But wait a minute.

We cannot give but we can take?
That does not sound right and downright unfair. My mom had no answers so; I had to bring it up during agama class in school.

After all, it will not be the first time I was asked to leave the class anyway- so what’s another period of wondering around the school (my eldest sister was not allowed to be in agama class at all during certain years in her school life !!!).

Honestly, I was not a bad boy. In fact I won the agama prize for being top in school twice. But I had questions that needed real solid answers. And, I do not give up easily!

GETTING ANSWERS FROM AGAMA CLASS IN SCHOOL

Poor Ustazah.

I asked her if I could donate to temples. Her answer was a firm ‘No’.

We can’t give but we can accept? I told her that my religion sounds UNFAIR and I CANNOT accept her answer as my Grand Dad told me Islam is the most just religion in the world.

I refused to accept the answer and kept on harping on the RM 1 million from Loh Boon Siew.

Finally she relented and said that if we were to give any donations to the ‘To Kong’, we must ‘niat’ that it is money we ‘ buang ke dalam sungai’. I told her ‘Ustazah dah merepet’.

She was by then in tears and it did not help that my classmates were cheering with drum beats – thumping the table top. She rushed out of the class and the rank cheered, the class went into the usual rumpus of school boys without supervision… but it did not last for long.

She returned with Ustaz Mahayudin, whom we were all scared shit of! And he was not alone; he brought his friend a handsomely meter long rotan. He banged the rotan on the teacher’s table a few times, we were dead silent. He uttered a few words of warning, and left.

(Actually Ustaz Mahayudin was a kind and nice man, in fact I have never seen him use the rotan on anyone. I had good conversations with him, and he allowed differing opinions although he was worried of my constant questioning of the status quo. He treated Non-Muslims kindly too, and, always with respect).

GETTING ANSWERS FROM THE QURAN

I did not get my answer until my university days when I took to reading the Quran and Muslim history for myself.

I discovered that the Quran suggested:
"WOE UNTO THOSE who give short measure: those who, when they are to receive their due from [other] people, demand that it be given in full, but when they have to measure or weigh whatever they owe to others, give less than what is due! Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead? [and called to account] on an awesome Day."
(Quran 83: 1-5)
I also discovered that early Muslim leaders created a peaceful environment so that people from the various faiths can practice their way of life.

In fact STATE money was used to build, repair and support the building of not just the mosque but also Non- Muslim places of worship. The Muslim army has a duty to defend all places of worship as the Quran commands:
" (They are) those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right,- (for no cause) except that they say, "our Lord is God.. Did not God check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of God is commemorated in abundant measure. God will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);- for verily God is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will)."
(Quran 22:40)
LIVING IN SUNWAY SELANGOR

Back in the mid 90s I decided to buy a condo unit at Sunway area.

Beside the wonderful square swimming pool, the other attractions were a Hindu and Chinese temple right in front of the guard house and a mosque just behind the corner.

In the morning you can hear the azan, the temple bells and every now and then I get to smell Chinese incense bringing me back memories of growing up in Fettes Park and Bob Agency.

The only missing link was a church.

Each morning, each evening, each nite – each day that condo where I stayed for a good many years reminds me of another Quranic announcement.

It is as though the Quran spoke to me directly:
"To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what God hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way? If God had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to God. it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute."
(Quran 5:48)
Thank You Bob Agency, Thank You Evergreen Road, Thank You Fettes Park, Thank You Penang, Thank You Malaysia!

Thank you for helping see the world the way God wanted me to see it.

Thank You God.

COWS GALORE

Excerpts:

The content of my stomach flew out of my mouth onto the floor after reading ( PM Najib Razak's cousin) Minister Hishamuddin's apparent defence of the cow-head demonstrators yesterday.

Before I had finished wiping it out, I was hit by another nausea inducing curve ball in the form of (Dr Mahathir's son) Dato' Mukhriz' statement supporting Minister Hishamuddin's.

  1. PM NAJIB'S "UMNO Cow-Head Champion" Cousin/Son of Tun Hussein Onn

  2. Mahathir's "Cow-Head Defender" SON

Apparently now an offence should not be prosecuted if such prosecution might cause "further unrest". Yes folk. It is the fasting month. Quite obviously, to certain Muslims, when food and drink are not consumed, blood circulation would be affected thus preventing the supply of oxygen to the brain.

The result is calamitous. And not to mention rumbustiously funny.

Dato' Mukhriz must remember that when his FATHER , Tun Mahathir, charged Anwar Ibrahim for a cooked up offence circa 1997-98, 100,000 people came out on the street.

What do you call that? Peace and tranquility? People resting? Or was that "unrest"? So, please answer this.

Since when has an offence become un-prosecutable for fear of an unrest? No wonder that guy from Penang who called the Chinese and Indians "pendatang" was not charged. That would have caused unrest too, huh?

I think I should speed up my invention of a talk cock eater.

But as event would have it, while I was spraying Febreeze on my carpet - to clean out yet another puke after that statement - my stomach churned again.

This time from Minister Hishamuddin's statement that those responsible for the cow-head demonstration should be charged in Court. I then felt faint. Everything went black.

My head was spinning. I blacked out. Apparently I suffer from u-turn phobia.

  3. Rais Yatim, the Uncultured Minister of Information

Read here on Rais Yatim Uncultured Behaviour at a Press Conference

Watch Video Clip of Rais Yatim:
Behaviour of a 67 Year old Anak Negri Sembilan with a Ph.D

Speaking of u-turns, guys and gals, you all would remember Minister Rais' internet filter debacle. One minute he wanted to filter the internet and was driving 200 mph in his Proton Perdana to Filterville. The next minute he made a u-turn to his Excellency's usual Boringville. Of course, to the delight of all and sundry. But not after the whole world had read about the earlier decision though.

    The World - 1, Malaysia - 0.

Then His Royal Excellent I-have-changed-my-mode Minister announced that the Black Eyed Peas concert in Malaysia was only allowed for non-Muslims. Again, Minister Yen Yen of the Tourism Ministry was so thankful for the wholly free publicity that Malaysia was having world wide.

It looked like Ambassador Todt would be out of job soon, if our Government continues at this rate.

    The World - 2, Malaysia - 0.

Of course, a couple of days later, when the anger caused by the first announcement had barely subsided, the decision on the BEP concert was reversed. Now Muslims can go. I thought the news page on which I read the news did not upload completely. Because I was dead sure there must be catch right?

Like Muslims can go but shall be confined to a male and female only area on the roof of the stage or something. And they shall not dance. And Fergie must wear only batik baju kurung with a slit of not more than 2 inches in length. But no, there weren't such limitation.

Phew.... Anyway, by this time, the World led by 3 to Malaysia 0.

Apparently this is getting to be some sort of a tradition. This u-turning aka flip-flopping like some penguins walking on ice while wearing a diving foot wear.

Fleep fleep. Flop. Like that. Fleep fleep fleep. Flop. You get what I mean.

Ahah. Now His Excellent Minister Refined Rais is thinking of imposing conditions on ASTRO, contrary to the license being granted to ASTRO all these while. OSK has warned that this might have a negative impact on foreign direct investment.

Of course it will. Who in his or her right mind would want to come and invest in Malaysia if the parameters within which his or her business is to be carried out cannot be ascertained with certainty?

    The World - 4, Malaysia - 0.

  4. Muhyiddin Yassin, the Clue-Less DPM

Before this, of course when Teoh Beng Hock was found dead at MACC's office, our DPM quickly said there will be no Royal Commission. About 3 days later, a Royal Commission was duly established.

    The World - 5, Malaysia - 0.

Before that there was the issue of teaching Maths and Science in Bahasa Melayu aka Bahasa Kebangsaan aka Bahasa Malaysia aka Bahasa Baku and back to Bahasa Melayu. Fleeeeeep and then flop. U-turn.

  5. Ex-Information Minister Zainuddin Mydin, Malaysia's Best Performer for Television Interviews

Watch This Video Clip: Zainuddin Maidin's Performance in the Interview with Aljazeera when he was the Information Minister on the Bersih Rally in 2007

But the one which stole the thunder form everything else was His Excellent ex Minister -we-have-erection-once-every-5-years Zainuddin Mydin. Singapore was "sacked" from Malaysia because of Lee Kuan Yew's Chinese-centric mantra.

As if now, all Chinese Malaysians who are perceivably critical of the Government could be herded onto an island - ala the stray dogs in whatever pulau recently - and left to become cannibal out of hunger.

Of course, he had to leave the best for last. Yes. Singapore apparently has a third world democracy with a developed world mentality. Malaysia on the other hand has developed world democracy but a third world mentality.

Mr Ex Minister, a democracy, unlike sex, does not have many positions or level. Either you have it or not. You do not have a doggie style democracy, a reverse cow gal democracy or whatever.
    Just plain democracy.

As for third world mentality, well, you can add Mad Cow disease to that as well. But it is not common among all Malaysians mind you. It only afflict some people. They know who they are.

    The World 6, Malaysia 0.

  6. Malaysia win one

Then, yesterday, TLDM received its first ever ever ever submarine.

The World 6. 1 Malaysia.

Syabas.

Politicians screwing Malaysia

I’m a Malaysian and a Muslim, and I thoroughly endorse Jacqueline Ann Surin’s article, “What possessed the protestors?” at the Nut Graph.

So if Zulkifli Nordin-types, or tea-bagged brained politicians in UMNO or their dick wad NGO pallies disagree with this, please let it be known that you don’t f**king speak on my behalf, you bunch of sicko-psychos.

If you’re reading this, a Malaysian and a Muslim in particular, please take a stand in support of her article on your blog and or social networking page or take up a front page ad in Utusan (just to rile those f**kers up).

Her article is a damning indictment of the BN government’s lack of will power and/or belligerent attitude towards its citizens and the protection of minorities in this country.

Please take this as a step to reclaim your faith as a Muslim to say NO! to this irresponsible behaviour towards our non-Muslim brethren.

I think Najib better start explaining to the RAKYAT, what the f**k he means by 1MALAYSIA.

Because it is starting to look like the rise of Hitler’s Germany. One Race One Nation…. and it goes on and on and on…

So which is it?
  1. 1Malaysia where all differences are embraced and celebrated or

  2. 1Malaysia where everybody who is a non-Malay Muslim has to fall in line with the majority’s whims and deficiencies?
You already have the following dim bulbs….
  • a DPM who’s an idiot - yeah calling Rohaizat’s disbarment a mere parking ticket, shows what a retard he is… brother, i never knew of a parking ticket that could deprive a person of his livelihood.

  • a Home Minister who thinks he’s f**king Oprah… who the f**k is he to mediate with the cow head protesters, and step on the AG’s or the Police feet?

As it is, damage has been done by the cow head protesters and he does no favours for himself when he tarnishes his daddy’s legacy. Please get his head checked… people who feel victimised can hold peaceful assemblies… but when you see a cows head being thrown around and spat upon…. every fibre of your being should tell you that this is soo wrong and walk away,

BUT they didn’t… it is blood lust and the protesters should be punished for it in accordance with the law.

By the way,I read that the following day he backtracked on his lame-o endorsement.

  • Culture Minister, who is forced to back track on everything he has said in recent days… 1st, the green dam implementation fiasco, then the Black Eyed Peas Arthur’s Day gig.

Is he senile? Has he got Alzheimers? I want to know. A minister who says one thing and then backtracks, clearly has a fair weather brain and has no spine. so why is he still a minister?
Is this the quality that we’re getting from a 1Malaysia type cabinet?

F** k, even UMNO’s allies, the MCA and the MIC can’t do anything. They’re too busy with their internal shit to even give a f**k about current affairs affecting their electorate…

Oh I’m sorry… I forgot MIC and MCA were wiped out last 2008 elections. so, what electorate are we talking about?

So there you go…. BN doesn’t give a shit. All talk and same old bullshit.

But let’s not forget our PR folks who are committed to bungling at every opportunity they get… even the CarryOn bunch would have finished the caper in double quick time.

The PR’s biggest downfall is that they are not able to get the message out effectively. And with all the bitching in public. Hey, I ’m all for an open relationship where people talk things out. But can you take your lover’s quarrel and shove it behind closed doors, please?

Here’s an option, put your (PR) money where your mouth is:
Throw out the Zulkifli Nordin and Hassan Mohd Ali types on disciplinary grounds and let them try to be the f**king turncoats that they may be… if they do jump ship to BN or become the latest thing in vogue, an independent, and the PR governments fall…. then so be it.
Integrity is a severely underestimated quality. If you can’t keep your fellas in line how are you going to forge policy? It’s still going to be paper that I can wipe my ass with (not literally… I prefer triple ply).

What you politicians have to say arises from a responsibility to this country and ALL its citizens. don’t F** k with it.

If the UMNO led BN Goverment (what a mouthful that was) doesn’t want to go after their own trouble makers and ne’er do wells, what credibility and respect can this UMNO led BN Government expect to get?

Oh… I guess that’s why BN has always subscribed to rule by law because it’s likely they don’t have the brains to understand how to govern by rule of law.

So I raise my glass of (pick your poison), and congratulate Ms Jaqueline Ann Surin for sticking it to the man.

Until next time… kill the lights and pray you don’t see daylight….. or you could just fight to get it back again.

Prime Minister Najib Razak's Cousin.
Malaysia's Home Minister

Malaysia Insider reported:

The BROTHER of the Shah Alam Umno Division Chief , Ahmad Nawawi, was one of those carrying the cow’s head to protest relocating a Hindu temple, says Shah Alam MP, Khalid Samad. He said Umno is trying to destabilise the state government by using race baiting tactics such as painting the Malay-Muslim community as under siege from non Malays.

Khalid said that he had met the residents in June over the proposed temple relocation and thinks Umno has since then inflamed the sentiments of the residents. He cited the actions of Datuk Noh Omar, the Umno State deputy liaison chairman and Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister, as the catalyst for the residents’ recent inflammatory protest.

PM Najib Should Sack His Bigoted and Racist COUSIN from the Cabinet

Hishamuddin who is also the Umno vice-president, had interfered in police investigations by talking to those suspected of carrying out the bigoted Hindu temple protest, as cows are sacred in Hinduism, according to Selangor Pakatan Rakyat leader Xavier Jayakumar .

Hishammuddin had met with “a group who has no respect for other Malaysians and worse still, defends them, forgetting that he is the Minister of Internal Affairs of all Malaysians”.

Jeyakumar said,
“Hey — all you thieves, murderers, rapists, corrupt officials and whoever else can now turn to Hishammuddin before the Attorney-General decides what to do.

(Hishamuddin had) waved his keris inciting bloodshed, supported the arrest of lawyers who went to defend those detained by the police, arrested 580 people for standing up for their rights to protest against the ISA and now defends a group who is prepared to bring about racial unrest and bloodshed. This shows that he has utter disrespect for the rule of law and uses his position and power for his own political gain,

Do minorities have a right to pray, build a place of worship and live peacefully with other Malaysians, or does Umno and the Barisan [Nasional] prescribe that we build our places of worship in the heart of a jungle, where we will be out of sight and this is safe for Barisan?

We teach our children [the] Rukun Negara, moral studies in school, but how do we explain to a child that toleration is important when such hatred and irresponsible behaviour is supported by national leaders?”

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said yesterday it was up to the Attorney-General and police to decide prosecution, brushing aside his cousin’s views of a possible solution that could prevent legal action.

Hishamuddin Needs a Reality Check

It is not for Hishammuddin to pronounce their innocence or guilt.

It is up to the Attorney-General now to decide if he has a case against them under the laws of the country and let the courts decide, no matter how cynical Malaysians are about the judiciary.

So, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why masses, particularly the Chinese and Indians in the past few by-elections, and even in Election 2008, are willing to vote for PAS.

They prefer religious conservatives who are fair and just, compared with the ruling party which has swung to the far right of race and religion. And they don’t need anyone telling them of his dream of united Malaysia but is dividing the country with his sense, or lack of, of fairness and justice.

Hishamuddin grandfather tried in his time but Hishammuddin appears to have gone the other way.

Perhaps he should take heed of his own warning that irresponsible parties should not provoke racial sentiments because it goes against the concept of 1 Malaysia.

Hishamuddin needs a reality check and figure out who exactly is undermining the concept.

At this point, it’s the people with bovine blood on their hands.

COMMENTARY

Hishammuddin, Can You Stomach The Repercussions?

Read here for more

Hishammuddin Hussein, are you very sure of what you are doing? Do you have what it takes to live with the repercussions of the words you uttered today?

You have better realise that you have set a very dangerous precedent today.

Here are extracts (from Malaysian Insider) of what Hishamuddin had to say.
  1. On the use of a cow’s head during last Friday’s demonstration:

"...They, the organizers, … didn’t even know that somebody was going to bring the head of the cow during that demonstration."

  2. On why police allowed the 50 demonstrators to proceed without interruption:

Hishammuddin told reporters that the police allowed the demonstrators to proceed because the numbers of protestors were small.
Put is simply, this is what Hishamuddin has to say:
1. Pleading ignorance will get you out of trouble with the government and police. And the ISA is dead.

2. Any gatherings with head counts numbering 50 and below will be allowed from now onwards. No permit or permission required to be applied from the authorities. Again, the ISA is dead.

I did not come up with the above. Hishammuddin Hussein did.
  1. In the future, should any group of less than 50 people gather outside a church and burn the bible at its footstep, no action can be taken by the police and government authorities. Those who gather can simply plead ignorance of the intention of someone to burn the bible and they will be let off scot free.

Hishamuddin, are YOU going to be responsible for any repercussions?

  2. In the future, should any group of less than 50 people gather outside the Kuan Yin temple and bring along, yet another, cow’s head, step and spit at it, no action can be taken by the police and government authorities. Those who gathered can simply plead ignorance of the intention of someone to bring the cow’s head and they will be let off scot free.

Hishamuddin, are you going to be responsible for any repercussions?

  3. In the future, should any group of less than 50 people gather outside a mosque and bring along a pig’s head, step and spit at it, no action can be taken by the police and government authorities. Those who gathered can simply plead ignorance of the intention of someone to bring the pig’s head and they will be let off scot free.

Hishammuddin, are you going to be responsible for any repercussions?

  4. In the future, should any group of less than 50 people gather at Wisma MCA and bring along a keris, wave it, kiss it and call for the keris to be soaked in Chinese blood, no action can be taken by the police and government authorities. Those who gathered can simply plead ignorance of the intention of someone to bring the keris and they will be let off scot free.

Hishamuddin, are you going to be responsible for any repercussions?

  5. In the future, should any group of less than 50 people gather outside UMNO’s HQ, PWTC, and bring along a full size roasted pig, chop it and feast on it at the doorstep of PWTC, no action can be taken by the police and government authorities. Those who gathered can simply plead ignorance of the intention of someone to bring the pig and they will be let off scot free.

Hishamuddin, are you going to be responsible for any repercussions?

Hishammuddin Hussein, you have set a precedent. A very dangerous precedent. This is what happens when you choose to effect the law based on your whims.

How are you going to justify taking action against 1 scenario but not against another? You are simply making life impossible for yourself, you idiot.

Your myopic action today will only throw the country into further lawlessness. A law is only good when it is consistently applied.

But what do you know about the law? What do UMNO and BN know about the law?
  • You are a dirty politician who has a set of laws for UMNO and another for the rest of Malaysia.

  • You are a racist who has a set of laws for your band of fanatic Malays and another for the rest of Malaysia.

  • You are a coward who has a set of laws for your band of extremist Muslims and another for the rest of Malaysia.

  • If I were a politician, I’ll be ashamed of you.

  • If I were a Malay, I’ll be ashamed of you.

  • If I were a Muslim, I’ll be ashamed of you.
Shame on you, Mr. Home Minister. Shame on you.

You are the Home Minister and it is your duty to preserve law and order in this country. Instead you along with Musa The Terrible are screwing us rakyat left, right and centre.

How did a job this important land on your laps? You just do not have it within yourself to stand up for what is right and reject what is wrong.

We, the rakyat, do not need a leader like you.

You are a finished article as far as I am concern.

You will not get the vote of any Malaysian Chinese. You will not get the vote of any Malaysian Indian. And the best part is, the majority of Malaysian Malays will not vote for you.

Start scouting for yourself a cosy beach home in the Pacifics with the money you robbed from us. Your days are numbered.

By the way, I wore black on Monday 31 August, did you?

Excerpts

"....Hishamuddin has sent a very strong signal that right and wrong is not important. UMNO political agenda is so supreme that it overrides the need to do the right thing. He has indirectly supported the group.

The minister even said that the police did not act because the group was small. I have read on many occasions when the PR supporters and leaders held candlelight vigil in smaller number and was arrested.

Why the double standard?

This group of 50 had no permit and had acted in the most despicable manner and the police did not act at all. They were merely spectators or they were giving protection to the group

Hishamuddin claims the organizers do not know who brought the cow head and claims that a third party had sabotaged their program.

This is the most childish excuse that I have ever heard.

There are ample pictures on the internet in the form of static images and videos that showed the resident leaders carried the cow head.

They even stomped their feet on the cow head individually as well as a group and shouted, “ Xavier, this cow head is for you!” There is so much evidence to show that it was a pre planned event. There were enough witnesses to help the police if they wanted help.

He also commented that there were histories that pig head was wrapped in UMNO flag and given to the Malays. In my view that is also wrong and those people should have been punished. Is he indicating that since there was no action taken on those who had wrapped pigs head with UMNO flag, then similar treatment must be given to the OTB. In the first place why there were no action taken against them? Why comparing the two event? I do not recall of hearing such an event took place if it ever did.

The Home Minister is sending the wrong signal to the public by condoning the action of the residents. I foresee that this matter will be dropped by AG on the basis that the Hindu Sangam Association has accepted the explanation by the group and had apologized to them.

The AG would probably come to the conclusion that there is not enough evidence to link the cows head with the group leaders. They will get away from being charged under the Seditious Act. I hope the AG proves me wrong as it has become too boring of late when legal outcome in cases involving the PR government is so expectable.

I find Hishamuddin statement is totally unjust. It does not do any justice to the good Muslims whose imaged has been blackened by the group of 50. It has created an impression as if all Muslims in this country support the actions by the OTB. It certainly does not do any justice to the Hindu’s. I have only two questions at this stage, how come it is so easy for this group to meet Dato Noh Omar and Hishamuddin and why is Samy Vellu and the MIC is still silent over this matter?

    Excerpts:

Hishamuddin Hussein, the Home Minister today JUSTIFIED last Friday's cow-head demonstration by Malay Muslims insulting the Hindu faith with a parade of a severed cow head against the relocation of a HINDU temple.

He told reporters after meeting with Malay-Muslim representatives of Shah Alam's Section 23 at his office here today.

Hishamuddin was not in favour of legal action to be taken against any of these Malay Muslim cow-head protestors who had insulted the Hindu faith directly. "Why would we want to penalise anybody?", he said

Hishammuddin Hussein said the Section 23 Shah Aalam Malay Muslim protesters felt victimised after the cow head demonstration.

Hishammuddin said the police allowed the demonstrators to proceed insulting the Hindu faith with severed cow head because the numbers of the protesters were SMALL

He tried to play down the cow-head incident by pointing out that there were previous incidents where a pig-head was used. He said, "If I wanted to use the issue to create chaos in Selangor, I can but we didn’t take such actions. There were cases where a pig-head was used by irresponsible parties including leaving the head in front of an Umno building covered by an Umno flag"

A group, claiming to be Muslim residents of Section 23 in Shah Alam, the new site of a Hindu temple, held a demonstration outside the Selangor state secretariat last Friday, dragging a severed cow-head, an animal sacred in Hinduism, which they stomped on and spat at under the gaze of the riot police.

The act was carried out by a group of 50 protestors who oppose the relocation of the Sri Mahamariamman Temple to Section 23 from Section 19, claiming the area is mainly occupied by Malay-Muslims.

    Hishamuddin said,
“ They, the organisers, didn’t even know that somebody was going to bring the head of the cow during that demonstration.

They (just) wanted to voice their unhappiness about the willingness of the state government to listen to their requests.
I was told that even the Hindus there are not so passionate that it is built there (section 23).

Irresponsible parties not to provoke racial sentiments because it goes against the concept of 1 Malaysia."

Self-Appointed MALAY Defenders of Islam Need a Reality-Check on Themselves

    Of Islam, churches and temples

    by

    Art Harun

    1. Shouldn’t WE , Muslims, ask ourselves whether WE are not to blame for the ridicule that has befallen OUR great way of life known as Islam?

    2. Are WE blind or too much blinkered by what WE believe to be the ways of Islam so much so that WE are unable to see the signs before us?

    3. Or is it a fact that WE just could not care less?
Many of us Muslims nowadays have become uptight about Islam.

    Malays as Wannabe-Defenders of Islam

And to make matters worse, in our country, Islam is tied up to our race, – by a Constitutional provision, no less – our Malayness, so to speak.

Thus, it comes as no surprise that Islam and Malayness are almost interchangeable.

Say something which could be remotely perceived as against Islam, and you would be challenging not only Islam, but the whole Malay race. And vice versa.

And THESE people declare that they are the defenders of Islam. The Caliphs. Defenders of the faith
    .

    • As if Islam is not so great without THEM .

    • As if God would retreat into oblivion without THEIR help and undying assistance.
In the name of ISLAM, THEY would do things.

And sometimes, in doing so, THEY smear the good name of Islam.

Sexually Vulgar Insult at DAP in the Name of Islam

THEY reduce God into a creature of hate, prejudice and intolerance.

Why? Just look at the picture. (I am sorry for the language. But I have to publish it verbatim to make my point).

These people were apparently angry with DAP for insulting Islam (or what they perceived as DAP insulting Islam).

And so these very good Muslims spent some money on banners and gathered to show their displeasure.

All in the name of Allah and Islam of course. Very Islamic indeed.

    The Cow Head Protest

On Friday, 28th August 2009, right after Friday prayers, it is now well known to the whole civilised world, that a group of people gathered in front of the mosque. They then carried a severed head of a cow – complete with blood and all – and walked all the way to the State Secretariat building.

Apparently, they were protesting against the Government’s plan to relocate a Hindu temple to their area, which according to them, is a Muslim-dominated area. That was the apparent reason. The real reason or motivation, we will never know, of course.

The who’s who of that group promised bloodshed if that plan is not changed. He said that the temple would disturb them and the noises from the temple would disturb their prayers, et cetera.

They then stomped and spat on the cow head.

All in the name of Islam. In the name of Allah the Almighty, the Compassionate, the Merciful. Allah the Provider and the Giver.

Isn’t Islam great? Isn’t Islam so wonderful that it has defenders ever ready to defend itself?

I have just one question for them.
If all of you are so pious and God-fearing, how is it that some noises from a temple could disturb you and your prayers?
And what’s with the cow head? You spat on it. You stomped on it. What was the whole purpose?

To revile and mock another faith? Well, don’t I have news for all of you.

God – and this OUR God, not any other God – says:
And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds.”
(Surah 21 ‘The Prophets’, verse 107. Translation by Shakir)
Our Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him – was sent as a mercy to the whole world. Not just to Muslims, to me or to you, but to the whole world.

And Prophet Muhammad – peace be upon him -, in his last sermon, said:
“People, hear that your Lord is One, and that your father is one. You must know that no Arab has superiority over a non-Arab, no non-Arab has superiority over an Arab, or a red man over a black man, or a black man over a red, except in terms of what each person has of piety. Have I delivered the message?”
Yes, all human beings are the same, regardless of whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims, Arab or non-Arab, Malay or Indian, section 23 residents or Kampung Buah Pala dwellers. The Prophet said so.

And as if to ensure that his followers had understood what he had just said, he ended that message by asking,
    “Have I delivered the message?”
Quite obviously, to some so called defenders of the faith – whose faith may be easily disturbed by some noises from some temples – the message has not been so clearly delivered.

    And what about this:
“Revile not ye those whom they call upon besides Allah, lest they out of spite revile Allah in their ignorance. Thus have We made alluring to each people its own doings. In the end will they return to their Lord, and We shall then tell them the truth of all that they did.”
(Surah 6, “The Cattle” Verse 108. Translation by Yusuf Ali).
(Isn’t it an irony of sort that the above verse is from Surah Al-An’aam, which means “the Cattle”?).

Did YOU ALL read the Quran?

God prohibits us, Muslims, from reviling others who do not believe in Allah.

Lest they would, out of spite, revile Allah. And what were you doing with the cow head? If that was not reviling the Hindus, I do not know what is.

In fact, in all His wisdom, God had seen it fit even to defend some churches, monasteries and synagogues:
“They are those who have been expelled from their homes in defiance of right – (for no cause) except that they say, “our Lord is Allah”. Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, there would surely have been pulled down monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, in which the name of Allah is commemorated in abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid his (cause);- for verily Allah is full of Strength, Exalted in Might, (able to enforce His Will).”
(Surah 22, ‘The Pilgrimage’, Verse 40. Translation by Yusuf Ali).
God creates all of us human beings. Of different colours and races. And also religions. Had He wanted all of us to be His followers, He could have.
“If it had been thy Lord’s will, they would all have believed, all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!”
(Surah 10 ‘Jonah’, verse 99. Translation by Yusuf Ali).
That is His way. Because as oft said, there is no compulsion in Islam.

And what will be the punishment for all of you who marched last Friday, spat and stomped on the cow head, all in the name of our faith, Islam and our God, Allah? God bless you all. Because this is what the Prophet – whom I believe is also your Prophet – said:
“Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-Muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, or takes anything from them against their free will; I (Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgment.”
    (by Abu Dawud)
Yes, you will get some personal attention from the Prophet himself on the day of judgment.

    Congratulations, guys.

It is interesting to note, what Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi said about these kind of people. Strange. Because while he was saying the following, he could have been talking about those people who were involved in that despicable act last Friday.

    This is what he said:
“A clear separating line should be drawn here between the teachings of Islam, which prohibit attacking non-Muslim places of worship, and the acts of some Muslims who possess a narrow-minded view of Islam.

Those people harm Islam and Muslims with their wrong behavior; as the threat they pose to Islam is much more than that of the enemies of Islam.

Along the same line, a traditional Arabic proverb reads, “A wise enemy is better than a foolish friend.”

The fanaticism we see in some certain people is often due to reasons that have nothing to do with religion, even if it takes the form of religion.

In fact, its reasons may turn out to be social, economic, or political, after thorough study. That is why we see it appearing in certain areas and not others; as some social circumstances and inherited traditions sow the seed of fanaticism and help it grow.

Therefore, it is unfair to accuse religion of being responsible for such fanatic acts.

To top it all off, that this wholly seditious act was done just after they performed the Friday prayer and in the holy month of Ramadan is an irony not missed by all Muslims and non-Muslims alike.

    Well done.

Shah Alam Malay Housing Area ENCROACHED the Hindu Temple, NOT the Other Way Round !

    Excerpts

Read here article "Selamat MOOdeka" in Malaysia Today for more

The recent development in Shah Alam has changed the entire landscape of the National Day celebration. What used to be known as Merdeka Day has now been renamed Moodeka Day.

That will be the day all Malaysians will remember as the day a cow’s head was dragged (by some 50 Malay-Muslims) to the Selangor State Secretariat building as a mark of protest (
against the relocation of a Hindu temple to Section 23 from Section 19 in Shah Alam).

The Hindu temple concerned was built 150 years ago at the time when that part of Selangor was still just a jungle. Then the jungle was cleared and turned into a rubber estate and, soon after, the temple emerged to serve the needs of the Indian estate workers.

So the temple was built long BEFORE Shah Alam ever became a residential area, let alone a Malay residential area.

In that sense the houses that came along 100 years or so later encroached on the Hindu temple. It was NOT a case of a Hindu temple being built in a housing area, or a Malay housing area.

It was a case of the houses being built in the Hindu temple area. So the houses were ‘disturbing’ the Hindu temple rather than the other way around.

But the Hindu temple was asked to relocate because it was accused of disturbing the housing area whereas it should have been the Hindus who should have protested against the houses that were now ‘disturbing’ their temple.

One thing that all Malaysians unanimously agree on is that 2009 will forever be remembered as Hari Moodeka in the spirit of the cow’s head that was dragged to the Selangor State Secretariat building in Shah Alam in an attempt to duplicate a coup in Selangor like what they did in Perak not too long ago.

    Selamat Moodeka everyone!
