(Ex-senior journalist who used to cover the Iran-Iraq war during the early 1980s, Lebanon and Afghanistan. The only Malaysian journalist who managed to interview leaders like Saddam Hussein, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, Muammar Gaddafi, Kim Dae-jung, Lech Walesa and Mikhail Gorbachev, of which only few were published as his editor-in-chief then was an idiot. Also interviewed hardcores like Harchand Singh Longowal of Khalistan and Ibrahim Babangida. Gave up journalism in 2002 but still writes, on and off, to a few journals, local and abroad.)

The Sultan of Perak is against Nizar Jamaludin's request to dissolve the State Assembly.

He instead told Nizar to quit and let Barisan Nasional (at the advise of Najib) to form a new government and choose the new Mentri Besar.

Malaysian politics is at its dirtiest. One would never imagine such a scenario would take place in a country where infightings among Malays, Chinese and Indians are its worst level.

Prime Minister and BN chairman Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi may have forgotten what he said late last year that BN cannot tolerate crossovers by MPs and State Assemblymen as a method to strengthen BN fragile Federal or State Governments.

However, he was lost in words when 4 Perak ADUNs decided to leave Nizar's weak state government. Pak Lah was proud to been able to kill the 11-month Pakatan Rakyat's loose government on Wednesday.

What happens to the 'Anti-Lompat' Bill?

Nizar has lost his grip as Mentri Besar. If he refuses to buck down, the State Constitution will still allow Najib to select a new MB. Is that so?

It doesnt matter who becomes the new MB but still, the new BN state government will walk on thin ice and clear majority.

What happens if 3 BN ADUNs jump over to PR in the coming months? PR will be in power again? Then, another defects from PR to BN and from BN to PR. Who wins afterall?

This is very, very dirty and filthy!

By common sense and logic, a legitimate government must be decided based on mandate given by the people, through elections.

No matter who wins, the rakyat must be given priorities to go to the polls.

This is not a gentleman's move. It goes to Anwar Ibrahim as well who all these while have been waiting for some BN members of Parliament to defect to PR in order for him to head the Federal Government.

No! THIS is NOT the way.

A legitimate government is established by the peoples' power, by ballot boxes. This is what happened when you don't observe your own political ethic, fall bequeth to your own foray.

The rakyat of Perak are made to pay for all this nonsense. Their votes were unaccounted for as the government they chosed is no more there.

Although the number of votes for BN and PR during the 12th general elections were almost even, their votes mean nothing already.

The Sultan of Perak should allow fresh State Assembly election.

There is no guarantee that the 'frogs and grasshoppers' of politics would not repeat what they just did a few days ago. This is a mockery of the Constitution and Law.

GO BACK TO THE POLL AGAIN, you fools! Leave it to the rakyat to decide again.

Can Pak Lah, Anwar, Najib or Lim Kit Siang give us assurance that the Perak State Government would not come under turmoil again, or at least no more crossovers?

My 'sembah takzim' for the Sultan of Perak:

"Ampun Tuanku beribu-ribu ampun, sembah patik harap diampun.

Ampun Tuanku beribu-ribu ampun.

Patik hanya mencadangkan."
