Nothing Short of a Royal Commission of Inquiry
Will Satisfy Malaysians of this Potential-Cover Up Scandal

ALL Malaysians Irrespective of Race and Political Affiliations Should Take Note:
THIS COULD ALSO HAPPEN TO YOU UNDER CUSTODY !!
Teo Beng Hock Should NOT Die in Vain in the Custody of MACC

MACC Must Take FULL Responsibility for TEO'S Death!

Quote

"... The police, the MACC and the judiciary are Malaysian institutions charged with protecting Malaysia from crime. Yet these institutions have suffered a humiliating loss of public trust.

In any healthy democracy, the Home Minister (Hishamuddin Hussein), and the Heads of the National and State Anti-Corruption Commission, would VOLUNTEER their resignations over this scandal.

It is grimly obvious in Malaysia that these self-styled guardians of public security will NOT resign of their own free will.

It may take the ballot box to replace the people in these tainted institutions, with others who deserve the trust of the Malaysian people.

If Teo’s death is a catalyst in this process, it will have helped change the history of a nation..."

Teo Beng Hock, 30, Political Secretary to Selangor Executive Councillor (Exco) Ean Yong Hian Wah fell to his death onto a roof of a four-storey building next to the Selangor offices of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on the 14th floor of the Masalam Building in Shah Alam.

The MACC had summoned Teo, aide to the DAP Exco Ean Yong (an equivalent of a Sarawak State Minister), to the building at 5pm on July 15, to be interviewed as a witness.

MACC Director's Statements DON'T Add Up

MACC Director of Investigations Mohd Shukri Abdul said that the MACC had questioned Teo from 5pm on July 15 and had freed Teoh at 3.45am on July 16 – a period of ten and three-quarter hours.

Did the MACC not know that sleep deprivation is a form of torture?

Why was this necessary? Could not the MACC have called Teo in for questioning during the day, rather than keeping him through most of the night?

Shukri claimed Teo had said he was tired and wanted to sleep on a sofa at the MACC office. Yet Teo had driven to the MACC office himself the day before, and his car remained parked outside.

The MACC concedes Teo was not a suspect. Therefore, Teo should have been treated with respect, for co-operating in the MACC’s controversial investigation.

Shukri said MACC staff had been alerted at 1.30pm yesterday by the screams of the person who discovered the body. He said MACC staff then recognised the deceased as one of the witnesses they had called in.

The Culpability of the Police and Police Cover-Up in the Kugan's Custody Death and Torture of Adi Anwar Mansor

Selangor Police Chief Khalid Abu Bakar said the police were investigating the death. Khalid Abu Bakar said tonight the authorities had classified the death of Teo Beng Hock as sudden death and do not see any evidence of foul play so far. “So far the police do not see any suspicious circumstances in this case and will wait for the report. We will carry out the investigation properly and thoroughly,” he said.

Khalid is the SAME police chief who has refused repeated calls to resign, despite the death in custody of Kugan Ananthan and the brutal police torture of Adi Anwar Mansor.

Adi Anwar was beaten so badly that he was placed on life support in the Intensive Care Unit.

Kugan died after being beaten by police. See here photos of Kugan's death

The investigation into Kugan’s death has never yielded any results, raising allegations of a cover-up.

The Selangor police even raided the offices of the Universiti Malaya Forensic Pathologist Dr Prashant and seized forensic samples and notes on Kugan’s autopsy.

Prashant had examined Kugan’s body and found evidence that Kugan had been beaten until his muscles had broken down and caused kidney failure.

Only Three Possibilities on Teo's Death in MACC's Custody

The investigators into Teo’s death can come to one of three conclusions.
  1. Teo may have fallen unintentionally.

  2. He may have committed suicide by jumping.

  3. Or he may have been pushed.
Teo Fallen Unintentionally

If Teo fell accidentally, the MACC must be called to account, because Teo must have been exhausted, making such a fall more likely. The MACC admits interrogators had kept Teo until 3.45 in the morning.

Did the MACC not know that sleep deprivation is a form of torture?

Teo Jumped Off as Suicide

If Teo jumped, the MACC must also accept a degree of responsibility, because the ordeal of overnight questioning must have placed Teo under mental stress.

However, the possibility of suicide appears remote, since Teo was about to celebrate his marriage. Teo had gone with his lawyer, M Manoharan (also the lawyer for Kugan’s family and Adi Anwar), to the MACC office on July 15.

“He was happy and looked composed,” Manoharan said. “I had advised him how to handle the interrogation as I was not allowed in during questioning.”

Why was Teo’s lawyer denied access?

Teo Was Pushed

If Teo was pushed, it might have happened during a disagreement or scuffle.

The MACC’s story that Teo had been released, yet decided to hang around in the office, does NOT stand up to scrutiny.

Why would anyone want to stay at an MACC office or police station after being interrogated for nearly eleven hours?

MACC and the South African Apartheid Security Branch

In Johannesburg, the infamous John Vorster Police Station was shunned by South Africans, because the apartheid government’s Security Branch had held its interrogations on the tenth floor.

Many anti-apartheid activists had died falling from the windows. They were said to have committed suicide or slipped.

The MACC will not elicit the same hatred as the Johannesburg police did, but it will be widely despised.

Loss of Public Trust of MACC, Malaysian Police and Judiciary

The police, the MACC and the judiciary are Malaysian institutions charged with protecting Malaysia from crime. Yet these institutions have suffered a humiliating loss of public trust.

In any healthy democracy, the Home Minister, and the heads of the national and state Anti-Corruption Commission, would volunteer their resignations over this scandal.

It is grimly obvious, however, that these self-styled guardians of public security will not resign of their own free will. It may take the ballot box to replace the people in these tainted institutions, with others who deserve the trust of the Malaysian people.

If Teo’s death is a catalyst in this process, it will have helped change the history of a nation.

Kalau dia bunuh diri, pasai apa, SPRM/MACC?

Mengulas kematian setiausaha politik exco Selangor, Ean Yong Hian Wah, yang dipercayai jatuh bangunan pejabat Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) Selangor di Shah Alam, Malaysiakini memetik Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz berkata:
"Jangan tuduh-tuduh. Kalau tuduh, kenyataan mereka keluar nanti dekat laporan akhbar, menyebabkan masyarakat buat pandangan (sendiri) sebelum penyiasatan dibuat".
OK, Bro. Saya tak nak tuduh-tuduh.

Saya nak tanya ja.

Saya ambil laporan Malaysiakini sebelumnya.

Terus balik, terus cabut.

Tak dak kerja aih nak merewang merata balai polis atau di mana-mana premis polis. Sa sa kata boleh balik, cabut terus.

Ajak pi minum kat kantin pejabat polis pun tak nak dah. Minum kat Restoran Thaqwa lagi bagus.
Awat?

Tak tau la kot-kot dia pinjam sat handphone pagawai SPRM).

Dia juga dilaporkan sepatutnya melangsungkan perkahwinan esok (lihat laporan Malaysiakini "He was to be married tomorrow").

Laa, kalau dia call bakal isteri dia suruh ambik dia kat pejabat SPRM (saya tak nak la kata pejabat puaka tu), berlari-lari Ah Moi tu pi ambik bakal suami dia (gambar Teoh di atas copy and paste dari mStar Online 16/7/09).

Terjatuh? OK, bukan dijatuhkan atau ditolak sehingga jatuh atau dia sendiri menjatuhkan dirinya. Dah kata ter(jatuh), bukan di(jatuhkan) atau men(jatuhkan), terjatuh lagu mana?

Tak tau? Tak dak sapa nampak? Ni!

Kalau pejabat aku la, tiba-tiba ada orang dok merewang tak tentu hala kat pejabat aku atau tidur kat pejabat aku macam dia tak dak rumah nak balik.

Mesti aku tanya: Apa kerja yang dok merewang tak tentu hala kat sini, dok tidoq kat sini macam mak bapak hang punya rumah. Ini bukan hotel!

Nak tanya lagi:

  1. Berapa orang sebelum ni yang tumpang tidur di pejabat SPRM Selangor selepas disiasat hingga lewat pagi?

"No one in his right senses will imagine to commit suicide a day before he is slated to be married."

The veteran politician added that the entire nation is shocked by the "first death of custody under the MACC."

"MACC's reputation is at an all time low. It must satisfy Teo's family and the public that there was no foul play or abuse involved".
Dan juga kata-kata boss kepada Teo:
"He was going to get married, why would he want to commit suicide?

..."He looked calm. Before he went to the MACC office, (lawyer M) Manoharan and myself talked to him about how to answer the questions.

"If there was any problems, I should be the one (to face action). I don't see any reason for him to commit suicide".
Selepas kes Altantuya Shaariibuu yang penuh tanda soal serta keengganan Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak mengambil tindakan terhadap media asing yang kata macam-macam terhadapnya, timbul pula kes kematian Teo at the time he was under SPRM custody!

Ini bukan soal dia daripada parti apa.

Kalau SPRM lanyak orang Umno pun AKU TAK setuju (lihat posting bertajuk "SPRM juga menyiksa orang disiasat").

According to him, the police were already probing the incident.

“I know the police force will conduct a thorough and transparent investigation as we would not want anybody to cover up the truth,” he told reporters in Putrajaya today...... unquote.

Whenever there is an election, he will always say that everyone is equal in law and likewise, the PM, not mine, will say... I am the PM for all races irrespective of race or religion.

This is what we call " BULLSHIT ". If the DPM thinks he is intelligent so be it, but he has no aptitude at all to be the DPM. He even scrapped the PPSMI and revert to Bahasa Malaysia. He will not be around after the next GE 13.
